Jacqui Hunt
Single Gun Theory was an Australian electronic dance music band formed in 1986. Founding mainstay members were Jacqui Hunt on lead vocals; Kath Power on vocal melodies and synthesiser; and Peter Rivett-Carnac on guitar, synthesiser and sampling. They released three studio albums, ''Exorcise This Wasteland'' (1987), ''Millions, Like Stars in My Hands, Daggers in My Heart, Wage War'' (1991) and '' Flow, River of My Soul'' (1994) for Canadian label Nettwerk and Australia's Volition Records. The band’s music combined elements of downtempo electronic music with introspective, ethereal vocals and samples of dialogue. It also released a soundtrack album for Samantha Lang's film ''The Monkey's Mask'' in 2000. ARIA Music Awards
The Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (commonly known informally as ARIA Music Awards, ARIA Awards, or simply the ARIAs) is an annual series of awards nights celebrating the Australian music industry, put on by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). Endorphin (Australian Band)
Endorphin is the stage name of Eric Chapus (born ca. 1962, Saint-Tropez, France), an electronic act and music teacher. Since 1984 he has lived in Australia originally at Kuranda, where he started his musical career. He has released six studio albums, ''Embrace'' (1998), ''Skin'' (1999), '' AM:PM'' (2001), ''Seduction'' (2003), '' Shake It...'' (2004) and '' Soon After Silence'' (2007). At the ARIA Music Awards of 1998 ''Embrace'' was nominated for Best Dance Release. ''The Heartbreak Kid'' is a 1993 Australian romantic comedy film directed by Michael Jenkins. Ian McFarlane (born 1959) is an Australian music journalist, music historian and author, whose best known publication is the '' Encyclopedia of Australian Rock and Pop'' (1999), which was updated for a second edition in 2017. As a journalist he started in 1984 with '' Juke'', a rock music newspaper. During the early 1990s he worked for Roadrunner Records while he published a music guide, ''The Australian New Music Record Guide Volume 1: 1976–1980'' (1992). He followed with two fanzines, ''Freedom Train'' and ''Prehistoric Sounds'', both issued during 1994 to 1996.
