Jacques Lacarrière (ice Hockey)
Jacques Lacarrière (25 July 1906 – 28 July 2005) was a French ice hockey player who competed in the 1928 Winter Olympics and 1936 Winter Olympics. Lacarrière and his son Philippe, were both inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame. Career In 1928, Lacarrière participated with the French team in the Olympic tournament. Eight years later, he was also a member of the French team in the 1936 Olympic tournament. He later established the Français Volants, a French ice hockey team, in 1933. In 1998, his playing career earned him a selection in the second induction class of the IIHF Hall of Fame. When his son Philippe Philippe is a masculine given name, cognate to Philip, and sometimes also a surname. France Men's National Ice Hockey Team
The France men's national ice hockey team has participated in the IIHF European Championships, the IIHF World Hockey Championships and the Olympic Games. As of 2016, it is ranked 14th in the world in the IIHF World Rankings. The team is overseen by the Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace. Français Volants is an ice hockey team in Paris, France. They are currently playing in FFHG Division 2, the third level of French ice hockey. History The club was founded in 1933 by Jacques Lacarrière, a French ice hockey player.
