Saint-Ouen, Seine-Saint-Denis
Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine (, literally ''Saint-Ouen on Seine'') is a commune in the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the Île-de-France region of France. It is located in the northern suburbs of Paris, from the centre of Paris. The commune was called Saint-Ouen until 2018, when it obtained a change of name by ministerial order. The communes neighbouring Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine are Paris, to the south, Clichy, to the west, Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Gennevilliers and L'Île-Saint-Denis, to the north, and Saint-Denis to the east. The commune of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine is part of the canton of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, which also includes L'Île-Saint-Denis and part of Épinay-sur-Seine. Mihail Sebastian (; born Iosif Mendel Hechter; October 18, 1907 – May 29, 1945) was a Romanian playwright, essayist, journalist and novelist. Life Sebastian was born to a Jewish family in Brăila, the son of Mendel and Clara Hechter. After completing his secondary education, Sebastian studied law in Bucharest, but was soon attracted to the literary life and the exciting ideas of the new generation of Romanian intellectuals, as epitomized by the literary group Criterion which included Emil Cioran, Mircea Eliade and Eugène Ionesco. Sebastian published several novels, including ''Accidentul'' ("The Accident") and ''Orașul cu salcâmi'' ("The Town with Acacia Trees"), heavily influenced by French novelists such as Marcel Proust and Jules Renard. The Théâtre des Noctambules was a former Parisian cabaret established in 1894 by the chansonnier Martial Boyer (1872–1941) and located at 7 rue Champollion in the 5th arrondissement of Paris (Latin Quarter). In 1939, Pierre Leuris and Jean Claude turned it into a theatre. Fernand Voiturin became manager in 1952 until the venue closed down in June 1956, when the theatre was turned into a Revival house (Art et Essai) under the same name. The Théâtre de la Huchette is a theatre in Paris. This small theatre in Paris' Left Bank, located at 23 rue de la Huchette in the 5th arrondissement, is known for playing Eugène Ionesco's absurdist double-bill of The Lesson and The Bald Soprano in permanent repertory since 1957, as "Spectacle Ionesco." Today, a third play is presented and this changes from time to time. Despite the theatre's tiny size of only 85 seats, a total of over one and a half million spectators have attended the show. Georges Vitaly, real name Vitali Garcouchenko, (15 January 1917 – 2 January 2007), was a 20th-century French actor, theater director and theater manager. The son of immigrants from the Russian revolution, he trained as actor from 1934. In 1947, he won the concours des jeunes compagnies with ''Le Mal court'' by Jacques Audiberti with Suzanne Flon. In 1947 he founded the Théâtre de la Huchette which he directed until 1952. Then, from 1954 to 1970, he was director of the Théâtre La Bruyère, in Paris. From 1970 to 1975, he was director of the Maison de la culture in Nantes. He was married to the comedian Monique Delaroche.
