Richard E. "Dick" Jacobs (June 16, 1925 – June 5, 2009) was an American businessman and real estate developer who co-founded the Jacobs Entertainment, Richard E. Triangle Town Center is a shopping mall in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is located in North Raleigh off U.S. Highway 1 (Capital Boulevard) and Interstate 540. The current anchors at the mall are Belk, Dillard's, Macy's, and Saks Fifth Avenue. A fifth anchor, Sears, closed in 2021. The store itself sits vacant as of January 2023. History Triangle Town Center opened on August 14, 2002 with anchors Hudson Belk, Sears ''(closed October 2021)'', Dillard's, and Hecht's (now Macy's). Construction of the mall required re-routing of existing roads. Saks Fifth Avenue, the state's first, opened later in 2004. The mall features a two-level Barnes & Noble, which serves as a junior anchor. On October 10, 2018, a water main broke causing the mall to evacuate and close early. Avon ( ) is a city in northeastern Lorain County, Ohio, United States. The population was 24,847 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. History In the 17th century, what is now Avon, Avon Lake, Bay Village, and Westlake were all once one territory. The 1995 World Series was the championship series of Major League Baseball's (MLB) 1995 season. The 91st edition of the World Series, it was a best-of-seven playoff played between the National League (NL) champion Atlanta Braves and the American League (AL) champion Cleveland Indians. Eastland Mall was an enclosed shopping mall in Columbus, Ohio. The mall opened February 14, 1968 and closed on December 27, 2022. There are 4 vacant anchor stores that were once Lazarus, JCPenney, Sears, and Macy's. The mall is owned and managed by Eastland Mall Holdings, LLC. Despite having no anchor stores, the mall's interior was until recently thriving with many smaller businesses and its food court, unusual for a mall lacking anchors and thus having enough tenants to keep it from being a dead mall. It would, however, later succumb to that fate. History The mall was built in 1968 by Richard E. Jacobs group, who also developed Columbus's Northland and Westland Malls.
