Jacob Vittrup "Taz" Sørensen (born 12 February 1983) is a Danish football player in the midfielder position, who plays for Danish club Vejle Boldklub. He has played 42 games and scored five goals for various Danish national youth selections, including 19 games and two goals for the Denmark national under-21 football team, and he represented Denmark at the 2000 European Under-17 Championship and 2006 European Under-21 Championship tournaments. Jacob Lungi Sørensen (born 3 March 1998) is a Danish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for club Norwich City. Club career Esbjerg fB Sørensen made his senior league debut for Esbjerg fB on 1 December 2016 in a Danish Superliga match away to Odense. The final score was 1-0 for Esbjerg fB. During his time at the club, he made 117 appearances and scored a total of 8 goals. Norwich City On 20 July 2020, Sørensen signed a three-year contract with Norwich City. The 2006 Tippeligaen was the 62nd completed season of top division football in Norway. The season began on April 9, 2006 and ended on November 5, 2006. Rosenborg became champions on October 29, with one round to go, by defeating Viking at home. The 2009 Tippeligaen was the 65th completed season of top division football in Norway. The competition began on 15 March and end on 1 November. Stabæk were the defending champions. Odd Grenland, Sandefjord and Start entered as the three promoted teams from the 2008 1. divisjon. They replaced HamKam who were relegated to the 2009 1. divisjon. Overview League expansion This was the first top division seasons where 16 teams were competing on the highest level of Norwegian football since the 1961–62 Hovedserien season. Due to the league expanding from 14 to 16 teams, three teams were promoted from the 1. divisjon at the end of the 2008 season. 2008 Norwegian First Division
The 2008 1. divisjon season (referred to as Adeccoligaen for sponsorship reasons) began on 5 April 2008 and ended on 1 November 2008. In 2009, the number of teams in the top tier, Tippeligaen, will expand from fourteen to sixteen. Therefore, 2008 was a transitional season, in which more teams were promoted to the top flight, and less teams relegated to the 2. divisjon, than usual. Automatic promotion was awarded to the teams finishing in the top three places in the standings. Only the two teams at the bottom of the standings were relegated to the 2. divisjon, as opposed to the regular four. The three clubs relegated from the Tippeligaen in 2007 were Odd Grenland, Start and Sandefjord. The Norwegian First Division, also called 1. divisjon and OBOS-ligaen (named sponsor is property developer OBOS), is the second-highest level of the Norwegian football league system. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings.
