Jacob Paul
Jacob Paul (born 6 February 1995) is a British hurdler who won the 400 metres hurdles event at the 2019 British Athletics Championships. He competed for England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia. Personal life Paul is from Banstead, Surrey. He studied at the University of Bath, and graduated in 2016. Career In the 2010 season, he led the under-17 decathlon rankings, before choosing to switch to hurdling. He competed at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games on the Isle of Man, finishing fourth, and also the 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival. at the 2013 European Athletics Junior Championships, Paul came third in the 400m hurdles event. He competed at the 2017 Summer Universiade, finishing third in his semi-final and missing out on the final by one place. In 2017, Paul came second in the British Championships, in a personal best time of 49.49, which was the first time he had run under 50 seconds. Banstead
Banstead is a town in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey, England. It is south of Sutton, south-west of Croydon, south-east of Kingston-upon-Thames, and south of Central London. On the North Downs, it is on three of the four main compass points separated from other settlements by open area buffers with Metropolitan Green Belt status. Banstead Downs, although a fragment of its larger historic area and spread between newer developments, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The 2011 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival was held in Trabzon, Turkey, between 23 and 29 July 2011. Greg Rutherford
Gregory James Rutherford MBE (born 17 November 1986) is a retired British track and field athlete who specialised in the long jump. He represented Great Britain at the Olympics, World and European Championships, and England at the Commonwealth Games. In September 2021 Rutherford was selected as part of the British bobsleigh team but was injured during preparations to qualify for the 2022 Winter Olympics. Long Jump
The long jump is a track and field event in which athletes combine speed, strength and agility in an attempt to leap as far as possible from a takeoff point. Along with the triple jump, the two events that measure jumping for distance as a group are referred to as the "horizontal jumps". Personal Record
A personal record or personal best (abbreviated to PR or PB) is an individual's best performance in a given sporting discipline. It is most commonly found in athletic sports, such as track and field, other forms of running, swimming (sport), swimming and Olympic weightlifting, weightlifting. The term "PR" came from the world of running, referring to a person's best time in a race of a specific distance. So, if someone runs their first 5K run, 5K race in 28:45, that's their PR for the 5-kilometre distance. If they run faster than 28:45 in a subsequent 5K race, then they have a new PR for that distance. Over time, PR came to mean any new record in a sport that could be performed by a single person. Team Bath
TeamBath is the University of Bath's sporting organisation. In addition to entering teams in BUCS intervarsity competitions, TeamBath has also entered teams in national leagues and competitions. Team Bath F.C. reached the first round proper of the 2002–03 FA Cup. They become the first university team to reach this stage since Oxford University A.F.C. in 1880.
