Jacob Ng
Jacob Ng (born 20 November 1994) is an Australian professional boxer who has held the WBO Oriental and IBF International lightweight titles since 2019. Early years Ng was born on 20 November 1994 on the Gold Coast in Queensland. His father, Stephen, was a successful amateur boxer who also held the Queensland State middleweight title as a pro. He spent much of his childhood at his father's gym, Matrix Boxing Gym, initially taking up Brazilian jiu-jitsu at the age of ten. He competed in the sport nationally and internationally until the age of 18, becoming a blue belt with four tips. He began boxing at the age of 15 and won a state amateur title before he started getting into trouble and partying. His dad sent him to Thailand for a year to compete in Muay Thai, where he compiled a professional record of 8–0–1 (8 KO). World Boxing Organization
The World Boxing Organization (WBO) is an organization which sanctions professional boxing bouts. It is recognized by the International Boxing Hall of Fame (IBHOF) as one of the four major world championship groups, alongside the World Boxing Association (WBA), World Boxing Council (WBC), and International Boxing Federation (IBF). The WBO's headquarters are located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is a convention centre in Brisbane, Australia. It is located in South Brisbane and occupies most of the block formed by Grey Street, Melbourne Street, Merivale Street, and Glenelg Street. The centre is owned by South Bank Corporation and managed by ASM Global. History Designed by COX Architecture, the BCEC was constructed by Leighton Contractors, beginning in March 1993 with the demolition of World Expo Park. The Star Gold Coast (formerly Jupiters Hotel and Casino) is a casino and hotel located in the suburb of Broadbeach on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The casino, which was Queensland's first, is situated next to the Nerang River and is operated by Star Entertainment Group. It opened in November 1985 as Conrad Jupiters.
