Jacob Jørgen Kastrup Sømme
Jacob Jørgen Kastrup Sømme (9 January 1817 – 21 October 1893) was a Norwegian businessman, consul and politician. Personal life He was born in Stavanger to merchant and captain Andreas Sømme (1788–1853) and his wife Johanne Cathrine Kastrup (1789–June 1817). In 1845 he married Johanne Margrethe "Hanna" Bull Kielland (1823–1908), youngest daughter of Jacob and Axeliane Christine Kielland and aunt of novelist Alexander Lange Kielland and painter Kitty Lange Kielland. The couple had three daughters and seven sons. Of these children one died young. Their most prominent child was painter Jacob Kielland Sømme. Their oldest daughter Johanne married jurist Ove Høegh Gude. Their sons Axel Christian Zetlitz and Andreas were businessmen, the latter was also the father of geographer Axel Christian Zetlitz Sømme. Atlantic Herring
Atlantic herring (''Clupea harengus'') is a herring in the family (biology), family Clupeidae. It is one of the most abundant fish species in the world. Atlantic herrings can be found on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean, congregating in large Shoaling and schooling, schools. They can grow up to in length and weigh up to . Jacob Kielland (officer)
Jacob Kielland (17 November 1825 – 19 October 1889) was a Norwegian naval officer and politician, particularly associated with Stavanger. Family Jacob Kielland was a member of the prominent family of Kielland. He was born in Stavanger to Jacob Kielland and Axeliane Christine (1792–1855), née Zetlitz. His grandfather was Gabriel Schanche Kielland, his uncle Jonas Schanche Kielland. He had four brothers and five sisters, most of them older than he was, even though a few died young. Through his brother Jens Zetlitz Kielland, Jacob Kielland had a nephew Alexander Lange Kielland who became one of the most prominent novelists in Norwegian history. In March 1849 Jacob Kielland married Thora Margrethe Bendz, daughter of Christian Ahle Bendz (1790–1867) and his wife Frederikke Magdalene (1799–1837) in Fredriksværn. The Order of Saint Stanislaus ( pl, Order Św. Stanisława Biskupa Męczennika, russian: Орден Святого Станислава), also spelled Stanislas, was a Polish order of knighthood founded in 1765 by King Stanisław August Poniatowski of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. It remained under the Kingdom of Poland between 1765 and 1831. In 1831 it was incorporated under the Russian Empire until the Russian revolution (1917). A ship-owner is the owner of a merchant vessel (commercial ship) and is involved in the shipping industry. In the commercial sense of the term, a shipowner is someone who equips and exploits a ship, usually for delivering cargo at a certain freight rate, either as a per freight rate (given price for the transport of a certain cargo between two given ports) or based on hire (a rate per day). Shipowners typically hire a licensed crew and captain rather than take charge of the vessel in person. Usually the shipowner is organized through a company, but also people and investment funds can be ship owners. A consul is an official representative of the government of one state in the territory of another, normally acting to assist and protect the citizens of the consul's own country, as well as to facilitate trade and friendship between the people of the two countries.
