Jacob Horgan
Jacob "Jake" Horgan (born April 7, 2000) is a Canadian curler, originally from Sudbury, Ontario. He currently plays second on Team Tanner Horgan. He is a seven-time Northern Ontario junior champion. Career Juniors As a bantam-aged curler, Horgan won three Northern Ontario titles (2010, 2013, and 2015). In 2012, he won the Ontario provincial elementary school championship, representing MacLeod Public School. Playing for his brother Tanner, Horgan won six straight Northern Ontario Junior Men's Championships from 2014 to 2019. They proved to be a strong team on the national stage as they won silver medals in 2016 and 2018 and a bronze medal in 2017. Jacob won his first junior provincial title as a skip in 2020 and skipped his team to a 3–6 record at the 2020 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. 2016 Boost National
The 2016 National (branded as the 2016 BOOST National for sponsorship reasons) was held from December 6 to 11 at the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. This was the third Grand Slam of Curling event and the second major of the 2016–17 curling season. On the men's side, the defending Olympic champion Brad Jacobs rink won their second career Grand Slam event. The team won the event on home ice, as they are from the Soo. To win, they defeated the Reid Carruthers rink from Manitoba, who had just come from winning the 2016 Canada Cup of Curling a week earlier. On the women's side, the Manitoba-based Kerri Einarson rink won their first career Grand Slam event, defeating the Silvana Tirinzoni team from Switzerland in the final. Jonathan Beuk
Jonathan Beuk (born April 18, 1983) is a Canadian curler from Kingston, Ontario. Career While attending Queen's University, Beuk led his team of Andrew Inouye, Chadd Vandermade and Scott Chadwick to a gold medal at the 2010 CIS/CCA Curling Championships, Canada's University curling championship. The team represented Canada at the 2011 Winter Universiade, where they missed out on the playoffs, finishing with a 6–3 record. After University, Beuk joined the Jake Higgs rink, throwing second stones for the team. It was as a member of this team that Beuk played in his first provincial men's championship, the 2012 Dominion Tankard. There, the team finished with a 3–7 record. Mark Kean
Mark Kean (born June 22, 1988 in Innerkip, Ontario) is a Canadian curler from Woodstock, Ontario. He currently skips his own team out of Ottawa. Career Kean's junior career involved winning the provincial junior mixed title in 2009. Kean made a quick transition to men's curling winning the provincial Colts trophy in 2010 and in 2011 playing in his first provincial tournament. At the 2011 provincial championship, his rink finished with a 3-7 record. Career Lawes played for skip Tanner Horgan and represented Northern Ontario at the 2015 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, finishing out of playoffs with a 6–5 record. He has also played for the Queen's Golden Gaels and the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks.
