Jackson Stewart (film Director)
Jackson Stewart (born February 17, 1985) is an American film director, producer, and screenwriter. He is best known for directing ''Beyond the Gates (2016 film), Beyond the Gates'' (2016). Early life Stewart was born in Tucson, Arizona. Career In 2010, Stewart became director Stuart Gordon's personal assistant. Stewart wrote the ''Frontierland'' episode of ''Supernatural (U.S. TV series), Supernatural''. Stewart directed ''Beyond the Gates (2016 film), Beyond the Gates'' (2016) starring Barbara Crampton, Chase Williamson, Graham Skipper, and Brea Grant. In 2018, Stewart announced that he will direct ''The Day After Halloween'' on the Shock Waves podcast. Stewart is currently developing a sequel to ''Beyond the Gates (2016 film), Beyond the Gates'' (2016) with Brian Yuzna. Beyond The Gates (2016 Film)
''Beyond the Gates'' is a 2016 American horror film directed by Jackson Stewart and starring Barbara Crampton. It premiered on June 2, 2016 at the Los Angeles Film Festival where it won the audience award in the festival's midnight section. Plot Two estranged brothers, Gordon and John Hardesty reunite at their missing father's video store to clean out the property and sell his belongings after he has been missing for seven months. Gordon is reserved and has stayed away from their hometown, while John is a slacker who hangs out with a drifter named Hank. At the end of the day, Gordon goes to their father's house where he is soon joined by his girlfriend, Margot. Margot and Gordon go to a local place for dinner and there they meet John and Hank, the latter of whom makes a few crude comments to Margot, angering Gordon. Stuart Gordon
Stuart Alan Gordon (August 11, 1947 – March 24, 2020) was an American filmmaker, theatre director, screenwriter, and playwright. Initially recognized for his provocative and frequently controversial work in experimental theatre, Gordon is perhaps more widely known for work in film. Most of Gordon's cinematic output was in the horror genre, though he also ventured into science fiction and film noir. Born in Chicago, Gordon became known for experimental and sometimes controversial live theater at the University of Wisconsin in the late 1960s. Moving back to Chicago, he founded and led the Organic Theater Company. In the early 1980s, Gordon went to California to pursue movie making. Like his friend and fellow filmmaker Brian Yuzna, Gordon was a fan of H. P. Barbara Crampton (born December 27, 1958) is an American actress and producer. She began her career in the 1980s in television soap operas before starring in horror and thriller films—both paths would define her continued accolade-winning career. Chase Williamson (born July 7, 1988) is an American actor and film producer. He is best known for portraying David Wong in ''John Dies at the End'' (2012). Early life Williamson was born in Coral Springs, Florida, in 1988. When he was young, he moved from Coral Springs to San Diego, then moved again to Texas. Brian Yuzna is an American producer, director, and writer. He is best known for his work in the science fiction and horror film genres. Yuzna began his career as a producer for several films by director Stuart Gordon, such as ''Re-Animator'' (1985) and '' From Beyond'' (1986), before making his directorial debut with the satirical body horror film ''Society'' (1989). He also served as a co-writer for the comedy ''Honey, I Shrunk the Kids'' (1989).
