Jackson Stewart (cyclist)
Jackson Stewart (born June 30, 1980 in Santa Clara, California) is an American former road racing cyclist, who last rode for the BMC Racing Team. Multifaceted Jackson started racing in his early teens and developed as a rider as part of the Los Gatos Bicycle Racing Club's junior program and through racing at the Hellyer Park Velodrome in San Jose, California. While still an under-23 (Espoir) rider Jackson raced for a season in Italy. He is unique to have competed at a high level in events on the road, track, and cyclocross. In recent years he has focused on road racing exclusively and is known as a solid all-around rider and fast finisher. Velodrome On the velodrome Jackson was the 2003 National Madison Champion with partner Erik Saunders. BMC Racing Team
CCC Pro Team () was a UCI WorldTeam co-owned and managed by American cyclist Jim Ochowicz, who founded the 7-Eleven Cycling Team. After its last title sponsor, CCC, a Polish shoe retailer, pulled out due to financial difficulties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, Ochowicz was unable to find another major sponsor, so the team disbanded at the end of the 2020 season. In its place, Belgian UCI ProTeam took over the team's license and was promoted to a UCI WorldTeam. Ownership The team was owned by Swiss businessman Andy Rihs until his death. The Nevada City Classic (previously: Tour of Nevada City; Father's Day Bicycle Classic), one of the most historic and challenging professional cycling races in the US, is held in Nevada City, California. Established in 1960, the Nevada City Classic commonly occurs on Father's Day and brings in thousands of visitors to Nevada County. While the first race brought out approximately 1,500 spectators, the numbers have swelled to 15,000 spectators in recent years.
