Jackson Ford
Jackson Ford (born 17 February 1998) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a forward and for the New Zealand Warriors in the NRL. He previously played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the National Rugby League. Background Ford was born in Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia. He played his junior rugby league for the Gerringong Lions in the Group 7 Rugby League. Playing career 2019 In Round 20 of the 2019 Canterbury Cup NSW competition, Ford scored 4 tries as St George Illawarra defeated the Wentworthville Magpies 36-16 at Kogarah Oval. After this performance, Ford was called into the first grade team. Shellharbour (also known as Shellharbour Village) is a suburb located in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. It also gives its name to the local government area, City of Shellharbour, and its central business district, Shellharbour City Centre. The suburb is centred on the small recreational harbour named Shell Harbour. The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. It featured nineteen matches across three weekends, including the 2022 All Stars match, which was won by the Māori All Stars 16 – 10, and the annual Charity Shield match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons, which the Dragons won 16–10.
