"Jackie" is a song written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly for the 1987 film, '' Summer School''. It was originally recorded by Elisa Fiorillo and included on the ''Summer School'' soundtrack. In 1988, "Jackie" was recorded by Lisa Stansfield's band, Blue Zone for their 1988 album, '' Big Thing''. It was released as a single and peaked at number fifty-four on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and number thirty-seven on the Hot Dance Club Songs. ''Jackie'' was a weekly British magazine for girls. The magazine was published by D. C. Thomson & Co. Ltd of Dundee from 11 January 1964 until its closure on 3 July 1993 — a total of 1,534 issues. ''Jackie'' was the best-selling teen magazine in Britain for ten years, particularly in the decade of the 1970s. Publication history The title was chosen from a list of girls' names, although it was nearly dropped due to the association with Jackie Kennedy following her husband's assassination in 1963. An urban legend exists that it was named after Jacqueline Wilson, who worked there before she became a notable children's author. Although the author has attempted to perpetuate this claim, this has been denied by those who were involved in the launch. Jacky Dragon
The jacky dragon (''Amphibolurus muricatus'') is a type of lizard native to southeastern Australia. It was one of the first Australian reptiles to be named by Europeans, originally described by English zoologist George Shaw in Surgeon-General John White's ''Journal of a Voyage to New South Wales'', , also aProject Gutenberg Australia which was published in London in 1790. It is well known for its bright yellow mouth and well-developed vertebral crest, as well as the temperature-dependent sex determination of its offspring. Other common names include blood-sucker, stonewalker, and tree dragon. The Wergaia people of the Wimmera region of north-western Victoria call it ''nganurganity''. In 2017, the star Sigma Canis Majoris was officially named "Unurgunite" (a 19th-century transcription of ''nganurganity'') due to its identification with the jacky dragon in Wergaia traditions. Leo the Lion is the mascot for the Cinema of the United States, Hollywood film studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and one of its predecessors, Goldwyn Pictures, featured in the studio's production logo, which was created by the Paramount Pictures, Paramount Studios art director Lionel S.
