Jackie Nespral
Jackie Nespral (born April 21, 1966) is an American television anchor for WTVJ, the NBC owned and operated station in Miami. Early years and education Nespral was born in Florida. both her parents are Cuban. She grew up in the Little Havana area of Miami, attended St. Brendan High School and graduated in the class of 1984. Nespral began her entertainment and television career as a college student at the University of Miami, where she was elected Orange Bowl Queen in Miami in 1985 and 1986 and was also inducted into UM's Iron Arrow Honor Society. She graduated from the University of Miami with degrees in psychology and communications. Amigos For Kids
Amigos Together For Kids (DBA: Amigos For Kids) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 1991 dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect by valuing children, strengthening families and educating communities. The group was founded by Jorge A. Plasencia. Amigos For Kids has created a model after-school program at Jose Marti Park in Miami for over 100 underprivileged children in a public and private partnership with the City of Miami. March of Dimes is a United States nonprofit organization that works to improve the health of mothers and babies. The organization was founded by President Franklin D. In the broadcasting industry, an owned-and-operated station (frequently abbreviated as an O&O) usually refers to a television or radio station owned by the network with which it is associated. This distinguishes such a station from an affiliate, which is independently owned and carries network programming by contract. The concept of an O&O is clearly defined in the United States and Canada (and to some extent, several other countries such as the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Japan), where network-owned stations had historically been the exception rather than the rule.
