Jackie Cilley
Jacalyn L. Cilley (born August 5, 1951) is a former Democratic member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing the Strafford 4th District, and a former member of the New Hampshire Senate for the 6th district. Biography Jacalyn Cilley was born in Berlin, New Hampshire on August 5, 1951. Her father, Archie Edward Rowe, was a trucker and Korean War veteran and her mother Celestine Phyllis Currier worked in a textile factory. She was raised with many siblings in a third-floor walk-up tenement in Berlin. She graduated in 1969 from Berlin High School. In her late 20s as a separated single mother she decided to proceed to higher education and enrolled in the University of New Hampshire at Durham, becoming the first member of her extended family to attend college. A farrier is a specialist in equine hoof care, including the trimming and balancing of horses' hooves and the placing of shoes on their hooves, if necessary. A farrier combines some blacksmith's skills (fabricating, adapting, and adjusting metal shoes) with some veterinarian's skills (knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the lower limb) to care for horses' feet. ''Political Chowder'' was a weekly American talk show concerning national, state and local politics in New Hampshire. It ran from February 18, 2007 to July 19, 2009. The show was broadcast each Sunday at 11AM by station WZMY-TV and rebroadcast by several public-access television stations around the state. The program was hosted by former Harvard Institute of Politics fellow Deborah Arnie Arnesen, a former New Hampshire state legislator, gubernatorial candidate and candidate for U.S. Congress. Arnesen additionally hosted a weekday radio program ''Chowder in the Morning'' from station WCCM as well as a number of other radio broadcasts. ''The Berlin Sun'' is a two-day (Tuesday and Thursday) free newspaper published in the city of Berlin, New Hampshire, U.S., covering "Berlin, Gorham and the North Country". The newspaper started as a five-day-a-week publication under the title ''The Berlin Daily Sun'', gradually reducing frequency to four, then three, and finally two days a week following declines in advertising revenue. The ''Concord Monitor'' is the daily newspaper for Concord, the state capital of New Hampshire. It also covers surrounding towns in Merrimack County, most of Belknap County, as well as portions of Grafton, Rockingham and Hillsborough counties.
