Jackie Battle
Ewart Haron "Jackie" Battle III (born October 1, 1983) is a former American football running back in the National Football League for the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, and Tennessee Titans. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Dallas Cowboys in 2007. He played college football at the University of Houston. Early years Battle was born in Humble, Texas and began his football career as a youth in the Humble Area Football League. He attended Humble High School, where he practiced football and track. As a senior, he tallied 1,524 rushing yards, 182 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns. He contributed to the team having a 10-3 record and reaching the third round of the UIL playoffs. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. Anthony Alridge
Anthony Eugene Alridge (born November 24, 1984) is a former professional gridiron football running back. He was signed by the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Houston. Alridge was also a member of the Houston Texans, the Washington Redskins and the Toronto Argonauts. The 2003 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl was played on Christmas Day 2003, in Honolulu and matched the hometown Hawaii Warriors with the Houston Cougars. This was the second Hawaii Bowl, and the first time Hawaii and Houston played each other. The game was sponsored by Sheraton Hotels and Resorts. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Humble, Texas
Humble ( ) is a city located in the Houston metropolitan area. Humble became an oil boomtown in the early 20th century when oil was first discovered there in 1904. By 1905, the Humble oilfield was the largest producing oilfield in Texas. Humble was home of The Humble Oil and Refining Company, a predecessor of Exxon.
