Jack Vosti
John Winfred Vosti (25 April 1903 – 10 September 1977) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon Football Club, Essendon and Western Bulldogs, Footscray in the Victorian Football League (1897–1989), Victorian Football League (VFL). Football Vosti started his VFL career in 1925 with Essendon. He played forward and topped Essendon's goalkicking in 1927 after kicking 35 goals. The following season saw him move to fullback, a position at which he excelled. He finished 2nd in Essendon's 1929 best and fairest award. From 1927 until 1930 he was a regular at full back for Victoria at Interstate matches in Australian rules football, interstate football. In 1933 Essendon released him due to doubts over his ability to play with a knee injury. He joined Footscray, but was after performing well in 1933, he was again affected by injury. Brunswick Football Club
Brunswick Football Club was an Australian rules football club which played in the Victorian Football League, Victorian Football Association (VFA) from 1897 until 1991. Based in Brunswick, Victoria, for most of their time in the Association they were known as the Magpies, and wore black and white guernseys. In its final two seasons in the VFA, it was known as Brunswick-Broadmeadows. History Brunswick Football Club was formed in 1865 and joined the VFA in the 1897 season. The club was colloquially known in its early days as the ''Pottery Workers'' or the ''Brickfielders'', and its fans were known for sounding clayhole bells at matches; after changing their colours from light blue and red colors to black and white, they became informally, and then later formally, known as the Magpies. Essendon District Football League
The Essendon District Football League (EDFL) is a professional Australian rules football league competition based in Essendon, Victoria, consisting of teams based in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. Founded in 1930, the men's competition consists of three leagues: Premier Division, Division 1 and Division 2, with 10 clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 nine in Division 2. Promotion and relegation between these divisions occurs, with the lowest-placed clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 being relegated at the end of each season. Clubs which win the Division 1 and Division 2 premierships are automatically promoted. Each men's team also fields a reserves side and an under-19 side that play a fixture mirroring that of the senior side. Since 2017, the League has also run a competition for women's Australian rules football. The ''AFL Record'' is the official program available at Australian Football League (AFL) matches. The publication began as the ''Football Record'' in Melbourne, Australia in 1912, making it one of the oldest magazines in Australia. The publication is also known affectionately by fans as the ''Footy Record'' and many other leagues have since adopted a similar format and produce their own "footy record". The price of the Grand Final Record and post Grand Final magazine, “AFL Record Premiers”, are both $15 as of 2021. Pascoe Vale Football Club
The Pascoe Vale Sports Club is an Australian rules football club 11 km north-west of Melbourne in the suburb of Pascoe Vale. The club is affiliated with the Essendon District Football League. History The club was founded in 1918 and moved to its current location at Raeburn Reserve in 1925. The Victorian Football League (VFL) is an Australian rules football league in Australia serving as one of the second-tier regional semi-professional competitions which sit underneath the fully professional Australian Football League (AFL). It includes teams from clubs based in the eastern states of Australia: Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, and includes reserves teams for the east coast AFL clubs. The league evolved from the former Victorian Football Association (VFA), and it has been known by its current name since 1996. ''The Argus'' was an Australian daily morning newspaper in Melbourne from 2 June 1846 to 19 January 1957, and was considered to be the general Australian newspaper of record for this period.
