Jack Turner (field Hockey)
Jack Turner (born 26 March 1997) is an English international field hockey player who plays as a forward for England. He made his debut in March 2017 against South Africa. Turner plays club hockey in the Men's England Hockey League Conference North for University of Durham. He was educated at Sir William Borlase's Grammar School, Marlow, Buckinghamshire, England. He has also played for Maidenhead Hockey Club and Marlow Hockey Club. Cookham Dean
Cookham Dean is a village to the west of the village of Cookham in Berkshire, England. It is the highest point of all the Cookhams (Cookham Rise, Cookham Village and Cookham Dean). Commerce Cookham Dean is served by two pubs, Uncle Tom's Cabin and The Jolly Farmer, a restaurant called The Mango Lounge (opened in late 2016) at the Chequers and a hotel/inn called The Sanctum on The Green. There are no shops in the village following the closure of the Post Office some years ago. There is an additional pub, The Bounty, on the river bank with access only by foot or boat and open in the summer and winter weekends. Geography Cookham Dean has a site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and local nature reserve on the eastern edge of the village, called Bisham Woods. Men's England Hockey League
The Men's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organized by England Hockey that features men's teams from England and Wales. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of twelve teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten-team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April. The league has a winter break between December and February. The winners of the Premier Division regular season automatically qualify to play in the Euro Hockey League. Marlow, Buckinghamshire
Marlow (; historically Great Marlow or Chipping Marlow) is a town and civil parish within the Unitary Authority of Buckinghamshire, England. It is located on the River Thames, south-southwest of High Wycombe, west-northwest of Maidenhead and west of central London. Name The name is recorded in 1015 as ''Mere lafan'', meaning "Land left after the draining of a pond" in Old English. Berkshire
Berkshire ( ; in the 17th century sometimes spelt phonetically as Barkeshire; abbreviated Berks.) is a historic county in South East England. Field Hockey
Field hockey is a team sport structured in standard hockey format, in which each team plays with ten outfield players and a goalkeeper. Teams must drive a round hockey ball by hitting it with a hockey stick towards the rival team's shooting circle and then into the goal. The match is won by the team that scores the most goals. Matches are played on grass, watered turf, artificial turf, synthetic field, or indoor boarded surface. The stick is made of wood, carbon fibre, fibreglass, or a combination of carbon fibre and fibreglass in different quantities. The stick has two sides; one rounded and one flat; only the flat face of the stick is allowed to progress the ball. During play, goalkeepers are the only players allowed to touch the ball with any part of their body. A player's hand is considered part of the stick if holding the stick.
