Jack Taylor (musician)
Richard Violet (1965–1997), known professionally as Jack Taylor, was an American musician and member of several popular bands. He was born in Urbana, Ohio. In his early twenties he played guitar with The Gibson Bros and went on to form the Columbus, Ohio, avant-garde noise band Monster Truck Five. Late in his career he fronted, with Jeffrey Evans, the Memphis rock n roll act the '68 Comeback and appeared in, and provided the title song for, the John Michael McCarthy film ''The Sore Losers The Sore Losers is a Belgian rock band, formed in 2009. Urbana is a city in and the county seat of Champaign County, Ohio, United States, west of Columbus, Ohio, Columbus. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. It is usually held flat against the player's body and played by strumming or plucking the strings with the dominant hand, while simultaneously pressing selected strings against frets with the fingers of the opposite hand. A monster is a type of fictional creature found in horror, fantasy, science fiction, folklore, mythology and religion. Monsters are very often depicted as dangerous and aggressive with a strange, grotesque appearance that causes terror and fear. '68 Comeback
'68 Comeback is an American garage rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1992 by singer, songwriter, and musicologist Jeffrey Evans. For the purposes of the band, Evans is frequently billed as either "Monsieur Evans" or "Monsieur Jeffrey Evans". The group contains a revolving cast of musicians, the only constant member being Evans himself. History The initial '68 Comeback lineup consisted of Monsieur Evans on vocals, guitar, and blues harp; Jack Taylor of the Monster Truck Five and Darin Lin Wood of the Red Devils on guitar; ex-Gloryhole member, Dan Brown, on bass; and Peggy O'Neil, formerly of The Gories, on drums. The Sore Losers
The Sore Losers is a Belgian rock band, formed in 2009. Jan Straetemans (vocals, guitar), Cedric Maes (guitar), Kevin Maenen (bass) en Alessio Di Turi (drums) combined their love for rock, country, blues and garage and brewed it into a raw and pure rock sound of their own. History The Sore Losers made it to the finals of the Belgian contest Humo's Rock Rally on 28 March 2010. The band signed a deal with Excelsior Recordings that led to the recording of their first and self titled album in October 2010. The first single "Beyond Repair" spent 21 weeks in De Afrekening on Studio Brussel and tied for the longest run on the show in 2010. The band played at Pukkelpop 2010 and were invited to open the main stage in 2011. Not long after their show the festival was cancelled due to damage caused by severe storms which killed five people.
