Jack Stephens (American Football)
Jack J. Stephans (March 1, 1939 – September 29, 2020) was an American football coach. He served as the head football coach at Jersey City State College—now known as New Jersey City University—from 1966 to 1973, at William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey, from 1975 to 1977, and at Fordham University from 1979 to 1980. Born in Hoboken, New Jersey, Hoboken, Stephans was raised in nearby West New York, New Jersey, West New York and played prep football at Memorial High School (West New York, New Jersey), Memorial High School in his hometown, graduating in 1957. Stephans died on September 29, 2020, from complications of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Head coaching record References

Jack Stephens (basketball)
Jack Francis "Junior" Stephens (May 18, 1933 – August 31, 2011) was an American basketball player. He played one season in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Stephens, a guard from Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, played college basketball at the University of Notre Dame from 1951 to 1955. He was a standout for the Irish, raising his scoring average each year. In his senior season of 1954–55, Stephens averaged 20.9 points per game and was named an All-American by the United Press International (third team) and Collier's (second team). He tied the Irish single-game scoring record with 35 points against Marquette in his final career game for Notre Dame. Stephens served as captain of the '54–55 Irish. Stephens played on Irish teams that finished 19–5 and 22–3 and qualified for the NCAA Championships his sophomore and junior years, respectively. Jack Stephens (born 27 January 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Premier League club AFC Bournemouth on loan from Southampton. Born in Torpoint, Stephens began his career as a youth player with Plymouth Argyle, remaining with the club as a professional until 2011. Although starting his career as a right back, Stephens has recently been converted into a centre back. He can also operate as a left back, or in a defensive midfielder role, and has played internationally for the England under-18, under-19 and under-20 sides.
