Jack O'Sullivan (rugby Union)
Jack O'Sullivan (born 1 October 1998) is an Irish rugby union player who plays as a flanker or number eight for United Rugby Championship club Munster. Early life Born in Cork, O'Sullivan attended Presentation Brothers College, where he enjoyed a successful schools rugby career, winning the Schools Bowen Shield, the Munster Schools Junior Cup in 2014, and captaining the school to victory in the Munster Schools Rugby Senior Cup final in 2017, alongside future Munster teammates Seán French and Jonathan Wren. Whilst still only in his fourth year, O'Sullivan featured for Ireland under-18 schools, and won representation for Munster at under-18 and under-19 level, as well as touring France with the Ireland under-19s squad in 2017. He is the cousin of Munster players Niall and Rory Scannell, and of Biarritz player Billy Scannell, and is studying finance at University College Cork. Cork (city)
Cork ( , from , meaning 'marsh') is the second largest city in Ireland and third largest city by population on the island of Ireland. Seán French (born 14 August 1999) is an Irish rugby union player for English RFU Championship club Bedford Blues. He plays as a centre, wing or fullback. Early life Born in Cork, French won the Munster Schools Rugby Senior Cup in 2017 with Presentation Brothers College, alongside former Munster teammates Jonathan Wren and Jack O'Sullivan, with French scoring all of PBC's points in their 11–3 victory. Thomond Park
Thomond Park is a stadium in Limerick in the Irish province of Munster. The stadium is owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union and has Munster Rugby, Shannon RFC and UL Bohemian RFC as tenants. The New England Free Jacks are a professional rugby union team in Major League Rugby (MLR) based in the Greater Boston area. They were announced in September 2018 and began to compete professionally in October 2018. They competed in their first season in MLR in the 2020 season. History On September 21, 2018, Major League Rugby announced that Boston would be one of the expansion teams joining the league for the 2020 season. Bedford Blues
Bedford Blues are a rugby union club in the town of Bedford, England, currently playing in The RFU Championship. Bedford is one of the few towns in England where the rugby club is better supported than the football team. The Blues are a semi-pro team, with a mix of experienced and young players. 2017–18 British And Irish Cup
The 2017–18 British and Irish Cup is the ninth and final season of the annual rugby union competition for second tier, semi-professional clubs from Britain and Ireland. Munster A are the defending champions having won the 2016–17 final against Jersey Reds 29–28 at Irish Independent Park, Cork on 21 April 2017. The format of the competition is similar to last season with Scottish clubs not competing. For the third consecutive season the four Welsh teams are the reserve sides of the teams competing in the Pro14 competition instead of clubs from the Welsh Premier Division. 2017–18 Munster Rugby Season
The 2017–18 Munster Rugby season was Munster's seventeenth season competing in the Pro14, alongside which they also competed in the European Rugby Champions Cup. It was Rassie Erasmus's second season as director of rugby and Johann van Graan's first as head coach. Events In June 2017, after many weeks of media speculation, Munster confirmed that director of rugby Rassie Erasmus and Defence Coach Jacques Nienaber would leave their roles with the province and return to South Africa on 31 December 2017.
