Patrick John McDonald (February 28, 1887 – January 24, 1958) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played from 1905 until 1922, including eleven seasons in the National Hockey Association/National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens, Montreal Wanderers, Quebec Bulldogs, Toronto Ontarios and Toronto St. Patricks. He was a member of the 1912 Quebec Bulldogs Stanley Cup championship team, playing eleven seasons for the Bulldogs in the period from 1905–06 until 1919–20. Playing career Born in Quebec City, Quebec, McDonald played intermediate hockey for the Quebec Crescents in 1905–06, moving to the Eastern Canada Amateur Hockey Association's Quebec Bulldogs for three games. Except for the 1910 season when the Quebec team did not operate due to the failure of the Canadian Hockey Association, McDonald was a member of the Bulldogs until 1912. John Albert McDonald (November 24, 1921 – March 13, 1990) was a professional ice hockey player who played 43 games in the National Hockey League with the New York Rangers during the 1943–44 season. Career McDonald was born November 24, 1921 in Swan River, Manitoba. Known as Jack, he had a playing height of 6'1" and 215 lbs, which was big for the era. A high-scoring left winger, he captained the Portage Terriers during the 1939–40 and 1941–42 seasons that won the Memorial Cup. The 1942-43 season was spent with the Flin Flon Bombers of the Saskatchewan Senior Hockey League. McDonald joined the New York Rangers for the 1943–44 season, one of several wartime additions. John Christopher McDonald (27 August 1921 – 28 June 2007) was an English footballer who played as an outside forward for various clubs in the 1940s and 1950s. During his spell at Fulham, he helped them claim the Football League Second Division championship title in 1949. Football career McDonald was born in Maltby, West Riding of Yorkshire and joined Wolverhampton Wanderers as a trainee in May 1937, aged 15. Shortly after his 17th birthday, in September 1938, he signed professional papers before going on to make two appearances for "Wolves" in the First Division. In May 1939, McDonald was transferred to Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic, but the Second World War broke out and normal football was suspended before he made his debut. John "Jackie" McDonald (born 2 August 1947) is a Northern Irish loyalist and the incumbent Ulster Defence Association (UDA) brigadier for South Belfast, having been promoted to the rank by former UDA commander Andy Tyrie in 1988, following John McMichael's killing by the Provisional IRA in December 1987. He is also a member of the organisation's Inner Council and the spokesman for the Ulster Political Research Group (UPRG), the UDA's political advisory body.
