Jack Maul
John C. Maul (1918–1998) was an artist, writer and architectural designer whose work contributed to the “early modern” period of art in Tucson, Arizona. He was called by University of Arizona scholar and professor Maurice Grossman “one of the great artist of his time in this area.” His art was seen as hyper progressive and known for continual experimentation of form and ideas.Allen, Kathleen, ''Tucson Citizen'', "Jack Maul", July 27, 1998 Maul was known for his abstract and nonrepresentational work. Hermosillo (), formerly called Pitic (as in ''Santísima Trinidad del Pitic'' and ''Presidio del Pitic''), is a city located in the center of the northwestern Mexican state of Sonora. Fort Lowell was a United States Army post active from 1873 to 1891 on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona.
