The 1933–34 Kangaroo tour of Great Britain was the fifth Kangaroo tour, and took the Australia national rugby league team around the north of England, to London and Paris. The tour also featured the 11th Ashes series (rugby league), Ashes series which comprised three Test match (rugby league), Test matches and was the first to be won by Great Britain national rugby league team, Great Britain in a clean sweep. The squad's outbound journey was marred by tragedy when Sydney University centre Ray Morris contracted meningitis en route and died in hospital. The tour match played at Stade Pershing in Paris on New Year's Day 1934 was the first rugby league international played in France. Jack Hiram Little (20 December 19084 January 1986) was an American-born Australian media personality, including as a television commentator for GTV-9's broadcasts of the World Championship Wrestling between 1964 through to 1978. Biography Jack Hiram Little was born on 20 December 1908 in Missoula, Montana the second child of John Herman Little (a salesman and amateur vaudeville performer) and Edna Jane née Fife (a teacher). In 1931 Little worked for KJR, an all-sports radio station based in Seattle, Washington, where, in February 1932, he commentated his first professional wrestling show from Everett. John Albert Little (13 October 1914 – 25 November 1988) was an Australian politician. Born in Maryborough, Victoria, he was educated at East Brunswick and Thornbury state primary Schools, before becoming a clicker in a shoe factory in Collingwood, and later an official with the Victorian Boot Employees' Union, of which he was Federal President in 1944 and 1945. In 1952, was awarded a Commonwealth Bank Scholarship for six months, to study unionism and working conditions in the UK, Europe and the US. In 1954, he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council for Melbourne North, representing the Labor Party. He left the Labor Party in 1955 and was one of only two non-Catholic parliamentary members of the Australian Labor Party (Anti-Communist), the other being Robert Joshua, who became the leader of the party in the Australian House of Representatives. Jack Harold Little (December 31, 1931 – November 26, 2016) was an American football player and assistant football coach. After playing college football for Texas A&M, he played two seasons for the Baltimore Colts from 1953–54. He later served as a college assistant coach before working in Texas' parole system and finally retiring. Early years Little was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. At the age of 12, his father died. His mother remarried when Jack was a senior in high school and moved to Washington, D.C. Jack and his older brother, Gene, remained in Corpus Christi. Joseph Little also known as Jack Little (25 January 1885 – 1965) was an English professional footballer, who played for Croydon Common, Crystal Palace and Sittingbourne. Career Born in Northumberland, Little played professionally for Croydon Common until the outbreak of World War I in 1914. When Croydon Common were wound up in 1917, Little signed for nearby club and Southern Football League rivals Crystal Palace. Little stayed at Palace as the club went from the Southern League to the Third Division, winning the new Division at the first attempt. Little played in Palace's campaigns in the Second Division. Palace were relegated to the then Division Three South for the 1925–26 season, and this proved to be Little's last with the club. His last match was that season's away 1–1 draw with Gillingham on 3 April 1926, which saw him become the oldest player to appear in first team competitive football for the club at 41 years, 68 days.
