Jack Lavin
Jack Lavin (born 1992) is an English rugby union player who is currently at Esher in National League 1 having signed from Caldy for the 2017–18 season. He plays at Fly-half or Inside Centre and is an excellent points kicker who can also score tries. As well as playing club rugby he has represented Cheshire in the county championships, finishing as runners up in 2016, as well as being capped by England Counties XV. Career Early career Growing up in the Wirral, Lavin attended Calday Grange Grammar School in the town of West Kirby. While still attending school he played men's senior rugby union with Hoylake, featuring prominently for the club during the 2009–10 season when they finished 10th in South Lancs/Cheshire 1 – a northern regional league. Fly-half (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and Line-out (rugby union), line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. National League 3 North
North Premier was a level five league in the English rugby union system, with the fourteen teams drawn from across Northern England. The other leagues at this level were London & South East Premier, Midlands Premier and South West Premier. The RFU reorganised the level five leagues for season 2022–23, with an increase from four to six and reducing the teams in each from fourteen to twelve. The teams in this league now play in either Regional 1 North East or Regional 1 North West. Format The fourteen teams in this league were drawn from across northern England with the champions promoted to National League 2 North and the runner-up going into a play-off with the second placed team from Midlands Premier with the winner also being promoted. Kendal Rugby Football Club is an English rugby union team based in Kendal, Cumbria. The first XV currently plays in Regional 1 North West, a level five league in the English league system, following the club's promotion from North 1 West at the end of the 2021–22 season. History Kendal RUFC was formed in 1905. moving to their present ground at Mint Bridge in 1927. The club found success in the decades before league rugby was introduced in 1987 and the club was placed in North One. Warrington () is a town and unparished area in the borough of the same name in the ceremonial county of Cheshire, England, on the banks of the River Mersey.
