Jack Holden (Home And Away)
Jack Anthony Holden is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Home and Away'', played by Paul O'Brien. He made his first on-screen appearance on 5 August 2005. Jack was a police officer. The Holden family — Jack, his father Tony and his brother Lucas arrived in Summer Bay in 2005. In November 2008, the season finale, Jack was accidentally shot in the chest at a construction site by fellow police officer, Angelo Rosetta. In the first episode of the 2009 season, it was revealed that Jack had died after paramedics failed to revive him at the scene. Paul O'Brien decided to leave the series in 2008 and Jack made his last appearance in the second episode into 2009. Paul O'Brien (actor)
Paul O'Brien (born 14 April 1978) is a South African-Australian actor. He is best known for his role as Jack Holden in the television soap opera ''Home and Away'', for which he won the Logie Award for Most Popular New Male Talent in 2006. Early life Paul O'Brien was born in South Africa, and grew up in Australia. As a child he suffered from a stutter and blinking problem and was picked on for his thick South African accent. His nickname as a child was "toughie" as he was often getting into fights. He spent several years on the Gold Coast, with his family. He attended his first school, St Kevin's, in Benowa, and later attended Somerset and Marymount colleges. Summer Bay
Summer Bay is the fictional coastal town featured in the Australian soap opera, '' Home and Away''. Palm Beach, the most Northern beach of Sydney, is used for the show's exterior scenes in order to depict the Bay. Between 2010 and 2014, the Lane Cove River Tourist Park in Macquarie Park was used as the location for filming of scenes involving the Summer Bay Caravan Park. Lynne McGranger (born 29 January 1953) is an Australian actress and longest serving female cast member of a television soap opera in Australia, having starred as Irene Roberts on soap opera ''Home and Away'' for over 29 years. She joined the series in 1993, taking over from actress Jacquy Phillips who originally portrayed the character of Irene from 1991 to 1992. Career McGranger was born to Bruce and Audrey. Irene Roberts is a fictional character from the Australian television soap opera ''Home and Away''. She was originally played by actress Jacqy Phillips from her introduction in Episode 887 shown on 29 October 1991, until 13 May 1992 (Episode 1003). Following Phillips' departure, the part was recast to Lynne McGranger, who debuted in Episode 1147, broadcast on 12 January 1993. Irene was initially a recurring character, but on 7 October 1993 McGranger was promoted to the regular cast. McGranger is one of the longest-serving cast members on the show.
