Jack Hannan
Jack Hannan is a Canadian novelist and poet living in Montreal, Quebec. He has published two novels, three books of poetry, and four chapbooks. He also edited the M.B.M. Monograph Series (published by Mansfield Book Mart). His work has been circulating in Canadian literary magazines since the 1970s and he participated in Dial-A-Poem Montreal 1985–1987. He stopped writing entirely from 1984 to 2004. Published in 2011, ''Some Frames'' was a finalist for the Quebec Writers' Federation’s A.M. Klein Award for poetry. Dial-A-Poem Montreal was a phone-based service started in 1985 by Fortner Anderson, who was inspired by John Giorno's Dial-A-Poem and wanted to expand poetry beyond the limits of print.Michael Farber. The Quebec Writers’ Federation (QWF) is a not-for-profit registered charitable organization representing and serving the English-language literary community in the province of Quebec, Canada. QWF is a literary arts presenter, provides professional development to established and emerging writers, runs community literary education programs, administers the Quebec Writers’ Federation Awards annually, and publishes the not-for-profit literary journal ''carte blanche''.
