Jack Grealish (hurler)
Jack Grealish (born 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays for Galway Senior Championship club Gort and at inter-county level with the Galway senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right corner-back. Personal life Grealish worked as a self-employed driver, driving an articulated truck. However, he was banned for driving for two years and fined €200 for a second instance of driving without insurance in 2022. Gort
Gort ( or ) is a town of around 3,000 inhabitants in County Galway in the west of Ireland. Located near the border with County Clare, the town lies between the Burren and the Slieve Aughty and is served by the R458 and R460 regional roads, which connect to the M18 motorway. Etymology Gort is short for the complete Irish name, ''Gort Inse Guaire'' (''gort:'' a meadow, field, ''inse:'' an island, and ''Guaire:'' a proper name) and translates to "field of Guaire's island". History Evidence of ancient settlement in the area includes ringfort, souterrain and holy well sites in the townlands of Gort, Ballyhugh, Cloghnakeava, Cloonnahaha and Lavally. 2014 Galway Senior Hurling Championship
The 2014 Galway Senior Hurling Championship was the 117th staging of the Galway Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment in 1887. The Preliminary Round and First Round draws were made on 11 March 2014 at the Salthill Hotel. Gort won the final on 14 December 2014. Format 22 teams contested the 2014 championship. The competition consisted of 2 full rounds of games (and two preliminary rounds), followed by a group stage and then quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final - as well as ''qualifier group'' to help decide which team will be relegated and a Shield Competition. 2018 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship
The 2018 All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship was the 55th and last staging of the All-Ireland Under-21 Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1964. The championship began on 7 May 2018 and ended on 26 August 2018. Limerick were the defending champions, however, they were defeated by Tipperary in the Munster semi-final. On 26 August 2018, Tipperary won the championship following a 3-13 to 1-16 defeat of Cork in the All-Ireland final. This was their 10th All-Ireland title overall and their first in eight championship seasons. Leinster Under-21 Hurling Championship
The Leinster GAA Hurling All-Ireland Under-20 Championship known simply as the Leinster Under-20 Championship, is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players between the ages of 17 and 20 in the province of Leinster. The championship was contested as the Leinster Under-21 Championship between 1964 and 2018 before changing to an under-20 age category from 2019. It is sponsored by Bord Gáis Energy. The 2017 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 130th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1887.
