Jack Ginifer
John Joseph "Jack" Ginifer (31 August 1927 – 9 July 1982) was an Australian politician. Ginifer was born in Warracknabeal, Victoria to Joseph Ginifer, a Singer sewing machine salesman from England, and Agnes Harper. He was educated at schools in Benalla, then undertook teacher training at Melbourne Teachers' College and a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Melbourne. Electoral District Of Keilor
The Electoral district of Keilor was a metropolitan electorate approximately 15 kilometres north-west of Melbourne, Australia in Victoria's Legislative Assembly. The Keilor District covered an area of 70 square kilometres, including the suburbs of Hillside, Keilor Downs, Keilor Lodge, Taylors Hill and Sydenham and parts of the suburbs of Caroline Springs, Keilor and Plumpton. It was abolished in 2014 and replaced by Sydenham. Ginifer Railway Station
Ginifer railway station is located on the Sunbury line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the western Melbourne suburb of St Albans, and opened on 31 October 1982. History Ginifer station opened on 31 October 1982. It was first announced in June 1977, by the then Transport Minister Joe Rafferty, and was scheduled for completion by late 1978. Originally to be named Furlong, after the nearby arterial road, when opened it was named Ginifer, in honour of Jack Ginifer, a former local member of State Parliament. In 1984, boom barriers were provided at the former Furlong Road level crossing, which was located nearby in the Down direction of the station. In 1994, the station was provided with CCTV. On 4 May 2010, as part of the ''2010/2011 State Budget'', $83.7 million was allocated to upgrade Ginifer to a Premium Station, along with nineteen others. Jeff Kennett
Jeffrey Gibb Kennett (born 2 March 1948) is a former Australian politician who was the 43rd Premier of Victoria between 1992 and 1999, and currently a media commentator. He was previously the president of the Hawthorn Football Club, serving from 2005 to 2011 and again from 2017 to 2022. He is the founding Chairman of beyondblue, a national organisation "working to reduce the impact of depression and anxiety in the community". Peter Cornelis Spyker (born 7 June 1942) is a Dutch-born Australian politician. He was born in Amersfoort to baker Peter Cornelis Spyker and Cornelia, a factory worker. He emigrated with his family to Australia in 1953, and attended Bentleigh High School and Sandringham Technical School before becoming a fitter and turner. He worked for Freighter Industries from 1959 to 1974 and Dormans Pty Ltd from 1974 to 1979. He joined the Labor Party in 1963 and was secretary of the Cheltenham branch from 1969 to 1979. He was also an office holder with the Amalgamated Metal Workers and Shipwrights Union. In 1979 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Assembly as the member for Heatherton, switching to Mentone in 1985. Haddon Storey (born 15 May 1930) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Melbourne to Elsdon Storey, a dentist, and Gwendoline Alberta Bellett, a dental nurse. He attended Scotch College and Melbourne University, where he received a Master of Law. He was admitted as a barrister and solicitor, and practiced from 1955. He was joint editor of the Law Council of Australia's newsletter from 1963 to 1969 and lecturer at the Council of Legal Education from 1963 to 1975. He was a long-standing member of the Liberal Party and served on the state executive from 1967 to 1971. In 1971 he was elected to the Victorian Legislative Council as a member for East Yarra. He was Attorney-General and Minister for Federal Affairs from 1978 to 1982, Minister for Consumer Affairs from 1981 to 1982, Minister for Gaming, the Arts, and Tertiary Education and Training from 1992 to 1996, and deputy party leader in the upper house from 1979 to 1992.
