Jack Davis (actor)
John H. Davis (April 5, 1914 – November 3, 1992) was an American child actor, notable for appearing in Hal Roach's ''Our Gang'' series. His sister Mildred Davis also acted; she appeared in Roach comedian Harold Lloyd's films as his leading lady. When Lloyd and Mildred were married in 1923, Lloyd pulled Jack out of ''Our Gang'' and enrolled him in military school. Maltin, Leonard and Bann, Richard W. (1977, rev. 1992). Davis' screen career ended after 19 shorts in the series when Harold Lloyd and his older sister, Mildred Davis, got married, and Lloyd put the boy into military school. Mildirn, sometimes spelt Medlone, also known as Jack Davis, Old Jack Davis or Port Essington Jack (c. 1835–c. 1914) was a well-known Aboriginal leader, translator and advisor for Port Essington, a site of early British settlement in the Northern Territory of Australia. Life in Port Essington Mildirn was born c. 1835 near the Cobourg Peninsula. He was four years old when the Port Essington garrison was established and he became ‘something of a pet with the regiment’. He was a messenger for the officers and was well known for ‘giving vent to the most horrible blasphemies and obscenities’ which he had learnt from the soldiers. He became a well-known point of contact for any matters pertaining to Port Essington, advising visitors to the area and managing relations with his tribe. Jack Lukeman (born Seán Loughman 11 February 1973), usually simply known as Jack L, is an Irish songwriter, musician, record producer, vocal artist and broadcaster. History A native of Athy Co. Kildare Ireland, Jack Lukeman attended a youth club in Athy known as Aontas Ogra at the age of 12 years old, where he was involved in artistic ventures as well as playing music there. He left school at 15. After spending a short period in the family business he began playing music full-time at 18 cutting his teeth on the Bohemian busking scene around Europe in the early 90s. Playing across Holland, Belgium and Germany sometimes playing with art rock band Serious Women with David Constantine and Martin Clancy whom he has continued to collaborate with over the years. Jack Davis (September 6, 1935 – February 4, 2018) was a Republican member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1976 to 1986, and a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1987 to 1989 representing Illinois' 4th U.S. Congressional District. Biography Davis was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 6, 1935, to Edna (née Haflei) and Russell Bender. His biological father died when he was a child and his mother got remarried to Melcher "M.C." Davis, who adopted Jack. He entered Southern Illinois University at age 15 and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1956. He attended Naval Officer Candidate School and served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant from 1956 to 1959, flying Lockheed EC-121 Warning Star, EC-121 between Midway Island and Alaska.
