Jack Chegwyn
John William Chegwyn (18 March 1909 – 26 May 1992) was an Australian cricketer and cricket administrator. A middle-order batsman, Chegwyn played five first-class matches for New South Wales between 1940 and 1942. In a first-class match in February 1941, staged to raise money for the war effort, he scored 103 in 111 minutes against South Australia. Between 1926 and 1956 he scored more than 10,000 runs in Sydney first-grade cricket.''The Oxford Companion to Australian Cricket'', Oxford, Melbourne, 1996, p. 105. Between 1939 and 1969 Chegwyn led and managed numerous tours by teams of leading Sydney players to New South Wales country districts. Vic Jackson
Victor Edward Jackson (25 October 1916 – 30 January 1965) was an Australian first class cricketer who played for New South Wales cricket team, New South Wales and Leicestershire County Cricket Club. From Australia to Cahn's XI Jackson made his first class debut during the 1936/37 Sheffield Shield season with New South Wales.He was brought over to Britain by Sir Julien Cahn who raised a powerful private side based at his home at Stanford Hall. Along with Jack Walsh (cricketer), Jack Walsh, Jackson played non-championship matches with Leicestershire against the Australian side. He played against Oxford University the following year. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out").
