Jack Armstrong (1884–1963) was a footballer who played in The Football League for Nottingham Forest between 1905 and 1922. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders. Keyworth is a large Village of Nottinghamshire, England. It is located about 6 miles (11 km) southeast of the centre of Nottingham. The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, the league is the oldest such competition in the world. The NCCA 3 Day Championship (previously the Minor Counties Cricket Championship) is a season-long competition in England and Wales that is contested by the members of the National Counties Cricket Association (NCCA), the so-called national counties that do not have first-class status. History The competition began in 1895, with the Worcestershire honorary secretary Paul Foley being influential in its creation. Apart from the two World War periods, it has been contested annually ever since. From 2014 to 2019 the tournament was known as the Unicorns Championship. Thomas Armstrong (Nottinghamshire Cricketer)
Thomas Armstrong (16 March 1872 – 5 July 1938) was an English first-class cricketer. Armstrong was a right-handed batsman who bowled right-arm medium pace. He was born in Keyworth, Nottinghamshire. Armstrong made his first-class debut for Nottinghamshire against the Marylebone Cricket Club in 1892. From 1892 to 1896, he represented the county in 6 first-class matches, the last of which came against the Marylebone Cricket Club during the 1896 season. In his 6 first-class matches, he scored 67 runs at a batting average of 7.44, with a high score of 20 *. He died at the town of his birth on 5 July 1938. Thomas Armstrong came from a sporting family.
