Friz Freleng
Isadore "Friz" Freleng (August 21, 1905May 26, 1995), credited as I. Freleng early in his career, was an American animator, cartoonist, director, producer, and composer known for his work at Warner Bros. Cartoons on the ''Looney Tunes'' and '' Merrie Melodies'' series of cartoons. In total he created more than 300 cartoons. He introduced and/or developed several of the studio's biggest stars, including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, Tweety, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam (to whom he was said to bear more than a passing resemblance), and Speedy Gonzales. The senior director at Warners' Termite Terrace studio, Freleng directed more cartoons than any other director in the studio (a total of 266), and is also the most honored of the Warner directors, having won five Academy Awards and three Emmy Awards. Gil Turner (animator)
Gilbert H. Turner (September 11, 1913 – March 19, 1967) was an American animator, comic book artist and producer. Career He started out working at Walt Disney Animation, and eventually moved over to other studios, such as Hugh Harman's and Jam Handy in Detroit, Michigan. He also worked for Warner Bros. Cartoons in Hollywood during World War II and for Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio. He worked for various Holloywood cartoon studios, such as Disney, Warner Bros. Cartoons, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio (MGM), Walter Lantz Productions, UPA, Hanna-Barbera and Format Films. He also drew comic books based on characters from these studios. ''Wackiki Wabbit'' is a 1943 Warner Bros. '' Merrie Melodies'' cartoon, starring Bugs Bunny. It was released on July 3, 1943, and was written by Tedd Pierce and directed by Chuck Jones. Mel Blanc voiced Bugs Bunny, and the two castaways were voiced by Michael Maltese and Tedd Pierce; no screen credit was given for any voice actors. Ken Harris is solely credited as the cartoon's animator, but other character animators who worked on the film were Ben Washam and Robert Cannon. John McGrew was the layout artist, and the background scenery was painted by Gene Fleury and Bernyce Polifka—all uncredited. Victory gardens, also called war gardens or food gardens for defense, were vegetable, fruit, and herb gardens planted at private residences and public parks in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Germany during World War I and World War II.
