Jacek Sutryk
Jacek Zbigniew Sutryk (born 17 September 1978, Wrocław) is a Polish politician and sociologist. He currently serves as the mayor of the city of Wrocław, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland. Life and career He was born on 17 September 1978 in Wrocław. He attended the Wincenty Pol Primary School No.9 and the Social General Secondary School No.1 in Wrocław. He also graduated in sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wrocław. After completing his studies, he assumed the post of director of the Warsaw-based WRZOS Association, a non-governmental organization established to represent interests of individuals and groups of people who are socially marginalized and who are facing the threat of exclusion from society. He also worked at the Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economics as well as the Janusz Korczak Pedagogical University in Warsaw. The Government of Poland takes the form of a unitary parliamentary representative democratic republic, whereby the President is the head of state and the Prime Minister is the head of government. However, its form of government has also been identified as semi-presidential. The Democratic Left Alliance () was a social-democratic political party in Poland. It was formed in 9 July 1991 as an electoral alliance of centre-left parties, and became a single party on 15 April 1999. It was the major coalition party in Poland between 1993 and 1997, and between 2001 and 2005, from which came four Prime ministers: Józef Oleksy, Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Leszek Miller and Marek Belka.
