Jacarra Winchester
Jacarra Winchester (born October 19, 1992) is an American freestyle wrestler. She won the gold medal in the women's 55 kg event at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships and the 2021 Pan American Wrestling Championships. She also represented the United States at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. College career She competed for Missouri Valley College in college. 2018 season Winchester competed at the 2018 World Wrestling Championships, where she finished 5th. 2019 season She won gold at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships at 55kg. She entered the tournament as the third seed. Her victory was part of a record result for the United States, with the women's freestyle team winning three gold medals for the first time. 2022 season In 2022, she won the gold medal in the 55kg event at the Yasar Dogu Tournament held in Istanbul, Turkey. The 50th Yasar Dogu Tournament 2022, was a wrestling event held in Istanbul, Turkey between 24 and 27 February 2022. It was held as the first of the ranking series together with the 2022 Vehbi Emre & Hamit Kaplan Tournament. The international tournament included competition in both men's and women's freestyle wrestling. The tournament was held in honor of the two time Olympic Champion, Yaşar Doğu. 2022 World Wrestling Championships
The 2022 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held between 10 and 18 September 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The UWW Bureau approved the candidature of Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the 2023 Senior World Championships. However, due to the restrictions on Russia for hosting World Championships in 2021–2022, Belgrade replaced the former city of Krasnoyarsk as the World Championships host for 2022. For 2023 the World Championships host will be reallocated to Russia. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been banned from 2022 World Championships.
