Jabol
Jabol () is a slang name for a kind of cheap Polish fruit wine that is made from fermented fruit and is bottled at 8% to 18% alcohol by volume. Its name seems to be derived from ''jabłko'', the Polish word for "apple," which it is often made from. Though it is usually fruit flavoured, it can come in other flavours such as chocolate or mint. It comes in a variety of containers and is sold under a variety of names. Slang names Apart from "jabol" or "jabcok", this beverage has amassed a variety of colourful slang names. Two that are commonly encountered are "sikacz" (a reference to the effect of alcohol on urination) and "siarkofrut" (a reference to the Bobofrut brand of children's fruit juice, as well as to the wine's taste of sulfur, a result from its low-quality production process). ''Plonk'' is a term used primarily in Commonwealth of Nations, Commonwealth English for generally cheap, low-quality wine.winepros.com.au. It is believed to come from Australian slang, in reference to ''blanc'' (the French language, French word for "white"), before it became naturalised in Britain. Despite the reference to the colour white, the term is not limited to white wine, and can as easily indicate a red wine or rosé. KSU (band)
KSU is one of the oldest Polish punk rock bands, founded in 1977 in the southeastern town of Ustrzyki Dolne (in the Bieszczady Mountains). According to its creator, Eugeniusz Olejarczyk, creation of the band was the fruit of listening of radio stations from Western Europe, in which several punk rock songs were played. Young listeners from Ustrzyki decided to play covers of Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin, and in 1978 they came up with the name KSU, which comes from car licence plates, issued by the Krosno Voivodeship authorities for vehicles from Ustrzyki Dolne. With new name came new music - KSU began playing songs inspired by Sex Pistols, Damned, and UK Subs. In 1980, due to friendship with Kazimierz Staszewski, KSU travelled across Poland to Kolobrzeg, to participate in the ''New Wave Festival''.
