Jabamani Tudu
Jabamani Tudu (born 10 April 2000) is an Indian women's international footballer who plays as a defender for East Coast Railway and the India women's national football team. Career Born in Odisha, Tudu was a part of the Odisha Sports Hostel. She has played in youth and senior football tournaments. She has also played for Odisha in national competitions, both youth and senior. International Tudu represented India at the under-16 level during the 2015 AFC U-16 Championship qualifiers. In December 2016 Tudu was selected into the Indian senior side for the 2016 SAFF Women's Championship. She made her debut for the side on 2 January 2017 in their semi-final match against Nepal. She came on as a substitute for Dalima Chhibber as India won 3–1. She made her debut as a 15-year-old. SAFF Women's Championship
The SAFF Women's Championship, also called the ''South Asian Football Federation Women's Cup'', is the main association football competition of the women's national football teams, governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). All seven members are eligible to participate in this tournament. History The current SAFF members are Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Formerly, eight members used to compete, prior to the departure of Afghanistan from SAFF. It is held every two years. 2016–17 Indian Women's League Season
The 2016–17 Indian Women's League season was the first season of the Indian Women's League, a women's football league in India. The season was scheduled to kick off with the preliminary rounds on 17 October 2016 in which the top two teams from the two groups qualified for the league proper. In the final round four teams from qualifier joined by two direct entry teams. Eastern Sporting Union won the title in the inaugural season. The 2017–18 Indian Women's League season was the second season of the Indian Women's League, a women's football league in India. The qualifiers for the league will start from 25 November 2017. Rising Student's Club won the 2017–18 Indian Women's League. The Indian Women's League, known as ''Hero Indian Women's League'' for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp is the women's top tier professional football league in Indian football. Founded in 2016, currently a total of 18 teams from across the country will participate in the league from 2022-23 Season. The competition was planned since 2014 and got established in 2016, with the first season starting from October 2016 in Cuttack.
