Jaathakam
''Jaathakam'' (English: Horoscope) is a 1989 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Suresh Unnithan and written by Lohithadas.The film stars Madhu, Jayaram, Shari, Thilakan and Sukumaran in the lead roles. The film has musical score by R. Somashekharan. Plot summary Madhavanunni, aka Unni is a young widower who lost his wife even before the celebration of their 1st wedding anniversary. Unni's wife, Shyama, died in an accident. Unni's parents Appukuttan Nair and Janaki Amma have a blind belief in astrology since the death of their elder son. Unni also starts to believe in astrology after the death of his beloved wife Shyama. Unni did not believed in astrology earlier. So, he married Shyama, the girl whom he loved, at a registrar office against the wishes of his parents, with help of his friends and bride's family. Suresh Unnithan
P. Suresh Unnithan (born 30 July 1956) is an Indian film and television director who works in Malayalam films. His most popular works are Mukha Chithram, Utsavamelam , Jaathakam, Bhagyavan, Aardram. Biography His start in film was as an assistant director to Padmarajan, the most renowned film director, from whom he learned the basics and craft of film making. Later he debuted with Jaathakam, which was well acclaimed by the critics and was a huge hit. The same film won the Best Newcomer Director award at the Kerala State Film Awards. Later he directed films like ''Radhamadhavam'', ''Aardram'', Mukha Chitram, Uthsava melam, ''Sathyaparatinja'', ''Bhagyavaan'', ''Thovalapookkal'', ''Rishya Sringan'' and others. Thilakan
Palappurathu Kesavan Surendranatha Thilakan (15 July 1935 – 24 September 2012) was an Indian film and stage actor who appeared in over 200 Malayalam films. Thilakan was known for his elaborate method acting, realistic and spontaneous appearances. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest Indian actors of all time. Early life Thilakan was the second of the six children of Palapurath T. S. Keshavan (1904–1972) and Devayani (1912–2010). Thilakan was born in Plankamon, Ayroor Panchayat in the present-day Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. He had his primary education from Asan Pallikoodam, Manikkal and St. Louis Catholic School, Nalamvayal and Sree Narayana College, Kollam. Shammi Thilakan
Shammi Thilakan is an Indian actor and dubbing artist who is active in Malayalam films. He is the son of veteran actor Thilakan. He lent his voice for Napoleon in ''Devasuram'', Prem Nazir in ''Kadathanadan Ambadi'' and for Nassar in ''Ghazal'', for which he won a state award for best dubbing artist. Innocent (actor)
Innocent Vareed Thekkethala (born 28 February 1948) is an Indian actor and politician. He predominantly works in Malayalam cinema in addition to Hindi, English, Tamil, and Kannada films, mostly in comedic roles. He has acted in more than 750 films and is considered one of the best comedians in Malayalam cinema. He has also appeared in villainous roles, such as in ''Mazhavilkavadi'', '' Ponmuttayidunna Tharavu'' and ''Ganamela''. Innocent has won several awards, including three Kerala State Film Awards. He served as the Member of Parliament in the 16th Lok Sabha of India representing Chalakudy constituency. In 1979, he was elected as the municipal councilor of irinjalakkuda municipality.
