Jaan Künnap (born 9 February 1948, in Kõue) is an Estonian mountaineer, photographer, and sports coach. Biography Künnap went to school in Kose, as well as in Tallinn, where he has lived since 1969. In 1971–1994 he worked as a deep-sea diver on a rescue ship. During this time he logged over 3,000 hours of diving time and recorded depths of up to 80 m. Paljassaare Harbour ( et, Paljassaare sadam) is a seaport situated in Paljassaare, Tallinn, Estonia. Vessels enter and leave the harbour through a canal (length of canal 800 m, width 90-150m, depth 9.0m) Overview It is a cargo port, which primarily specialises in handling mixed cargo, coal and oil products, as well as timber and perishables. Reef Knot
The reef knot, or square knot, is an ancient and simple binding knot used to secure a rope or line around an object. It is sometimes also referred to as a Hercules knot. The knot is formed by tying a left-handed overhand knot between two ends, instead of around one end, and then a right-handed overhand knot via the same procedure, or vice versa. A common mnemonic for this procedure is "right over left; left over right", which is often appended with the rhyming suffix "... makes a knot both tidy and tight". Two consecutive overhands tied as described above of the same handedness will make a granny knot. The working ends of the reef knot must emerge both at the top or both at the bottom, otherwise a thief knot results. The reef knot is not recommended for tying two ropes together, because of the potential instability of the knot when not stabilized; something that has resulted in many deaths (see Misuse as a bend). Tuhala Witch's Well ( et, Tuhala nõiakaev) is a karst spring in Kose Parish, Harju County, Estonia that overflows after heavy rains. The Baltic Way ( lt, Baltijos kelias, lv, Baltijas ceļš, et, Balti kett) or Baltic Chain (also "Chain of Freedom") was a peaceful political demonstration that occurred on 23 August 1989. Approximately two million people joined their hands to form a human chain spanning across the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which at the time were occupied and annexed by the USSR. The central government in Moscow considered the three Baltic countries constituent republics of the Soviet Union.
