Jagran Film Festival
Jagran Film Festival (JFF) is perhaps the world's largest travelling film festival rooted in India, conducted since 2010. The festival is a Jagran Prakashan Group initiative aimed at promoting the appreciation of the cinematic art beyond the major metropolitan cities of India to smaller towns. The seventh edition started in Delhi, travelling through Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal, and culminated in Mumbai. Japanese Film Festival
The Japanese Film Festival is a film festival held in Singapore and dedicated to Japanese cinema. It was held annually from 1999 to 2016, and curated with Singapore audiences in mind, led by local programmers with a wide-ranging programme of film classics, Japanese independents and commercial releases. There was no festival in 2017. The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) is the governing body of football in Jamaica and is in charge of the Jamaica national football team and the Jamaica National Premier League. History Early history (1893–1962) According to the JFF, the Football Association was formed in 1910 and controlled all games in Jamaica. In 1925, Jamaica's national team had its first international match against Haiti and won all three games 1–0, 2–1, and 3–0. In 1926, Jamaica hosted Haiti at Sabina Park and won 6–0. The Haitians remained frequent opponents, and it was not until 1932 that their run of defeats was broken with a 4–1 home win in Port-au-Prince. From 1925 to 1962, Jamaica had regular games with teams from Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti, and Cuba, as well as with clubs like the Haitian Racing CH and Violette AC, the British Corinthians, and the Argentinean Tigers. The Jacksonville Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 2002, the festival screens in competition and out-of-competition American and international independent films. According to the '' Daily Record'', the festival is "an anticipated event among the international independent film community and an economic development driver for North Florida." History The Inaugural Jacksonville Film Festival debuted May 15–18, 2003 with the opening film The Flying Ace, made by Norman Studios in Jacksonville, Florida in 1926. In addition to screening films, the festival hosts panels, workshops and parties. Jacksonville Film Festival was conceived by Joan Monsky and Karen Sadler in the spring of 2002. The Warsaw Jewish Film Festival ( pl, Warszawski Festiwal Filmów o Tematyce Żydowskiej) is an annual Jewish film festival held in Warsaw, Poland. Organized in 2003 by American film director , it was the first one of this type on Poland, and one of the first and largest in the Eastern Europe. The main idea of the festival is to present both the contemporary and traditional culture of the Jewish people. It is the continuation of the cultural tradition started with the Jewish Culture Festival in Kraków in 1988. The festival is a member of the Association of European Jewish Film Festivals, which was established during the World Conference of Jewish Film Festival Directors in Boston in 2004.
