It is responsible for the national team, as well as club competitions. History The organisation was founded in 1921 as the , and became affiliated with FIFA in 1929. In 1945, the name of the organisation was changed to the ; its Japanese name was changed to the current title in 1975. This reflected common use of the word ''sakkā'' (サッカー), derived from "soccer", rather than the older Japanese word ''shūkyū'' (蹴球; literally "kick-ball"). The word ''sakkā'' gained popularity during the post-World War II occupation of Japan by the United States-led Allied powers. JFA (Jodie Foster's Army) is an American hardcore punk band formed in 1981, with roots in Arizona and in Southern California skateboard culture. The original members include Brian Brannon (vocals), Don "Redondo" Pendleton (guitar), Michael Cornelius (bass), and Mike "Bam-Bam" Sversvold (drums). Alan Bishop of Sun City Girls also played bass for a time. The band was pivotal in the development of the skate punk and Skate Rock scenes. In the standard French deck, an ace has a single suit symbol (a heart, diamond, spade, or club) located in the middle of the card, sometimes large and decorated, especially in the case of the ace of spades.
