JAC Refine S5
The JAC Refine S5 is a Compact crossover, Compact CUV that was produced by JAC Motors and positioned above the slightly smaller Refine S3, JAC Refine S3. Overview Previewed by the JAC Eagle SII concept on the 2012 Beijing Auto Show and originally launched on the 2012 Guangzhou Auto Show as the JAC Eagle S5, the compact crossover was quickly rebranded to Refine S5 during the facelift shortly after to fit into the later established Refine sub-brand. Pricing of the JAC Eagle S5 ranges from 89,800 yuan to 135,800 yuan, while the pricing of the facelifted Refine S5 ranges from 89,500 yuan to 139,500 yuan. The JAC Refine S5 is available with two engines including a 1.8 liter turbo engine with 163hp and 253nm mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, and a naturally aspirated 2.0 liter engine with 136hp and 180nm, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox at launch. The JAC Refine S3 is a Compact CUV produced by JAC Motors under the Refine sub-brand. Overview Originally launched on the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show as the Heyue S30 under the Heyue sub-brand, the compact crossover was quickly rebranded to Refine S3 shortly after during the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. Pricing of the Refine S3 was revealed later during the 2014 Chengdu Auto Show with prices ranging from 65,800 yuan to 84,800 yuan. The JAC Refine S3 is powered by the HFC4GB2.3E 1.5 liter naturally aspirated engine producing 113hp mated to a selection of 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and CVT gearboxes. The JAC Rein (瑞鹰) is a compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) produced by Chinese automaker JAC Motors since 2007. Overview The JAC Rein was originally launched as the JAC Eagle. The new name Rein in Chinese is 瑞鹰, Ruiying, meaning ‘Lucky Eagle’. JAC translated Ruiying into English as ‘Rein’ but they also use the name ‘Eagle’ in some foreign markets.
