Junkers J 15
The Junkers J 15 was an all-metal monoplane built in Germany in 1920 to explore the design parameters of small single-engined passenger transports. In particular, it could fly in either high or low wing configurations. It led to the Junkers J 16 light airliner. Design and development With the exception of the J 4 biplane, all Junkers aircraft were monoplanes and all those built before 1920 were low-wing aircraft. Junkers had been successful with their four-passenger J 13 and believed there was a market for a smaller aircraft carrying just two passengers and using a smaller engine than the J 13. The J 15 was built to optimise the low power, small aircraft configuration and in particular to provide data on whether it should have a high or low wing. The Junkers J 15 was a single-engined cantilever winged monoplane with an all-metal structure of Duralumin tubing skinned with corrugated Duralumin, a method used in all previous Junkers aircraft from the J 9 onwards. It was first fl ...

Shenyang J-15
The Shenyang J-15 (Chinese: 歼-15), also known as ''Flying Shark'' (; NATO reporting name: Flanker-X2, is a Chinese all-weather, twinjet, carrier-based fourth-generation multirole fighter aircraft developed by the Shenyang Aircraft Corporation (SAC) and the 601 Institute, specifically for the People's Liberation Army Naval Air Force (PLANAF) to serve on People's Liberation Army Navy's aircraft carriers. An unfinished prototype Su-33, the T-10K-3, was acquired by SAC from Ukraine in 2001 and was said to have been studied extensively and reverse-engineered, with development on the J-15 beginning immediately afterward. While the J-15 appears to be structurally based on the prototype of Su-33, the fighter features indigenous Chinese technologies as well as avionics from the Shenyang J-11B program. In February 2018, discussions about replacing the aircraft appeared in several Chinese media outlets including Xinhua and China's main military newspaper, discussing that it belongs ...

GSR Class J15
The GS&WR Class 101, classified as Class 101 or Class J15 by the Great Southern Railways, was a class of 0-6-0 steam locomotives designed for working goods traffic although they did, and were quite capable of, working branch and secondary passenger trains. History The 101s were by far the most numerous class of locomotive (diesel or steam) ever to run in Ireland with 111 being built between 1866 and 1903. The great majority were built by the GS&WR at Inchicore Works, though the construction of some examples was contracted out to Beyer, Peacock & Company (12) and Sharp, Stewart & Company (8). The design is attributed to Alexander McDonnell, although evidence points to him developing the design from drawings supplied from Beyer, Peacock and Company of Manchester, England. McDonell appears to have utilised the drawings and produced a number of ''hybrids'' where parts were salvaged from a number of withdrawn locomotives from various builders; the ''class 101'' Inchicore Works ...

LNER Class J15
The Great Eastern Railway (GER) Class Y14 is a class of 0-6-0 steam locomotive. The LNER classified them J15. The Class Y14 was designed by T.W. Worsdell for both freight and passenger duties - a veritable 'maid of all work'. Introduced in July 1883, they were so successful that all the succeeding Locomotive Superintendents continued to build new batches up until 1913 with little design change, the final total being 289. During World War I, 43 of the engines served in France and Belgium. Background On 10–11 December 1891, the Great Eastern Railway's Stratford Works built one of these locomotives and had it in steam with a coat of grey primer in 9 hours 47 minutes; this remains a world record. The locomotive then went off to run on Peterborough to London coal trains before coming back to the works for the final coat of paint. It lasted 40 years and ran a total of . Because of their light weight the locomotives were given the Route Availability (RA) number 1, indica ...

Bacterial Pneumonia
Bacterial pneumonia is a type of pneumonia caused by bacterial infection. Types Gram-positive ''Streptococcus pneumoniae'' () is the most common bacterial cause of pneumonia in all age groups except newborn infants. ''Streptococcus pneumoniae'' is a Gram-positive bacterium that often lives in the throat of people who do not have pneumonia. Other important Gram-positive causes of pneumonia are '' Staphylococcus aureus'' () and '' Bacillus anthracis''. Gram-negative Gram-negative bacteria are seen less frequently: ''Haemophilus influenzae'' (), ''Klebsiella pneumoniae'' (), ''Escherichia coli'' (), ''Pseudomonas aeruginosa'' (), ''Bordetella pertussis'', and ''Moraxella catarrhalis'' are the most common. These bacteria often live in the gut and enter the lungs when contents of the gut (such as vomit or faeces) are inhaled. Pneumonia caused by ''Yersinia pestis'' is usually called pneumonic plague. Atypical Atypical bacteria causing pneumonia are ''Coxiella burnetii'', ''Chlam ...

County Route J15 (California)
There are 45 routes assigned to the "J" zone of the California Route Marker Program, which designates county routes in California. The "J" zone includes county highways in Alameda, Calaveras, Contra Costa, Fresno, Kern, Inyo, Mariposa, Merced, Sacramento, San Benito, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tulare counties. J1 County Route J1 (CR J1) is a county highway in San Benito and Fresno counties in the U.S. state of California. It runs from State Route 25 in Paicines to State Route 33 in Mendota. The route is known as Panoche Road, Little Panoche Road, Shields Avenue, Fairfax Avenue, and Belmont Avenue. The route begins in Paicines in San Benito County at State Route 25. Between Paicines and Panoche Valley, CR J1 is known as ''Panoche Road''. Its north–south portion between Panoche Valley and Fresno County is called ''Little Panoche Road''. In Fresno County, the route then intersects with Interstate 5 and terminates in Mendota at State Route 33 near State ...

Elongated Square Bipyramid
In geometry, the elongated square bipyramid (or elongated octahedron) is one of the Johnson solids (). As the name suggests, it can be constructed by elongating an octahedron by inserting a cube between its congruent halves. It has been named the pencil cube or 12-faced pencil cube due to its shape.Order in Space: A design source book, Keith Critchlow, p.46-47 A zircon crystal is an example of an elongated square bipyramid. Formulae The following formulae for volume (V), surface area (A) and height (H) can be used if all faces are regular, with edge length L: :V = L^3\cdot \left( 1 + \frac\right) \approx L^3\cdot 1.471404521 :A = L^2\cdot \left(4 + 2\sqrt\right) \approx L^2\cdot 7.464101615 :H = L\cdot \left( 1 + \sqrt\right) \approx L\cdot 2.414213562 Dual polyhedron The dual of the elongated square bipyramid is called a square bifrustum and has 10 faces: 8 trapezoidal and 2 square. Related polyhedra and honeycombs A special kind of elongated square bipyramid ...
