J. P. McManus Pro-Am
The J. P. McManus Pro-Am is a Pro-Am golf tournament created and hosted by J. P. McManus. It is currently played at Adare Manor in County Limerick, also host to the 2027 Ryder Cup. It has been staged six times spanning between 1990 and 2022. The tournament is designed to raise money for local charities. History 1990 The inaugural event was held on 5 and 6 July 1990 at Limerick Golf Club and included notable Ryder Cup players such as Gordon Brand Jnr, Eamonn Darcy and Des Smyth. Roger Chapman and Neil Hansen tied with scores of 141. 1995 The second staging of the event was held on 5 and 6 June 1995, again at Limerick GC. It was also the first time that the European Tour became involved with the management of the event, increasing the attraction of profiles in attendance. Richard Boxall
Richard Boxall (born 28 April 1961) is an English professional golfer. Golf career Boxall turned professional in 1982 and won a place on the European Tour at that year's final qualifying school. He played on the Tour until 2000, and won one Tour event, the 1990 Lancia Martini Italian Open. He also had his best finish on the Order of Merit that year, placing seventeenth. He represented England in the Alfred Dunhill Cup and the World Cup of Golf in 1990. During the third round of The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale in 1991, Boxall was just two strokes off the lead when he suffered a stress fracture of his left leg while playing his tee shot on the ninth hole. Sam Burns
Samuel Holland Burns (born July 23, 1996) is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. He played his college golf at Louisiana State University. In 2021, he won the Valspar Championship and the Sanderson Farms Championship. Amateur career Burns was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Todd and Beth Burns. Timothy Henry Clark (born 17 December 1975) is a South African professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour. His biggest win was The Players Championship in 2010, which was also his first PGA Tour win. Early life and amateur career Clark was born in Durban, South Africa. Edmund Patrick Jordan, OBE (born 30 March 1948), also known as EJ, is an Irish businessman, television personality and former motorsport team owner. Malcolm John Mackenzie (born 30 September 1961) is an English professional golfer. Mackenzie was born in Sheffield. He turned professional in 1980 and has spent most of his career playing on the European Tour. His best Order of Merit ranking was 25th in 1990, one of twelve times he made the top 100.
