J.P. Dutta
Jyoti Prakash Dutta (born 3 October 1949) is an Indian Bollywood film producer, writer and director, best known for making patriotic action war films. Personal life Dutta is married to the Bollywood film actress Bindiya Goswami with whom he has two daughters Nidhi and Siddhi. Career Dutta produces his films under the banner of JP Films. He is known for directing many patriotic war films and films in the action genre. His films often have ensemble star casts. In 1998, he was awarded the 'National Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration' from President of India for his super hit film ''Border''. Some of the Bollywood Hindi films that he has written, produced and directed are Border'','' Refugee'','' LOC Kargil and Umrao Jaan''.'' ''Ghulami'' () is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed by J. P. Dutta (in his directorial debut). The film has an ensemble cast comprising Dharmendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Mazhar Khan, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Raza Murad, Reena Roy, Smita Patil, Anita Raj, Naseeruddin Shah and Om Shivpuri. Lyrics were by Gulzar and music by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, the latter of whom would go on to collaborate with Dutta in all his films until Kshatriya (1993). It was shot at Fatehpur, Rajasthan. Dutta, based on 1967 Nathu La and Cho La clashes along the Sikkim border after 1962 Sino-Indian War. ''Kshatriya'' ( ''Warriors'') is a 1993 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by J. P. Dutta. It features an ensemble including Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Sunny Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Meenakshi Seshadri, Raveena Tandon and Divya Bharti. Sunil Dutt and Dharmendra play fathers to their real-life sons Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol, respectively.
