J.League Monthly MVP
The Meiji Yasuda J.League KONAMI Monthly MVP is an association football award that recognises the best player each month of the season in the J1 League, J2 League, and J3 League. The first awards were given in the 2013 season to J1 League and J2 League players. The J3 League was created in 2014, but they weren't included in the awards until the 2019 season. The winners are chosen by a selection committee currently made up of a mix of J.League officials, commentators and some members of the media. A selection committee meeting is held each month where the members cast their votes for the winners of the MVP award. The winners receive prize money (J1: 300,000 yen, J2: 200,000 yen, J3: 100,000 yen) and their award is presented on the player's first home game following the announcement. Takashi Usami
is a Japanese professional footballer who plays for Gamba Osaka in the J1 League. He plays as a forward or a winger. Club career Gamba Osaka Usami made club history by making his professional debut for Gamba Osaka at the age of 17 years and 14 days and scoring a goal in the same match to become the youngest player to achieve both feats for the club, breaking the records previously set by Junichi Inamoto. Usami made his professional debut and goal on 20 May 2009 against FC Seoul in the Champions League. He finished the 2009 season with a goal in four matches played, which includes three league matches, and a Champions League match. Urawa Reds
, colloquially Urawa Reds (浦和レッズ), also known as Mitsubishi Urawa Football Club from April 1992 to January 1996, is a professional football club in the city of Saitama, part of the Greater Tokyo Area in Japan. Vegalta Sendai
is a Japanese professional football club, currently playing in J2 League. The team is located in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture. History Founded in 1988 as ''Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. Soccer Club'', Vegalta joined the J-League in 1999 after playing a few years in the JFL, with the nickname ''Brummell Sendai'', to which they had been promoted in 1995 from the Tohoku Regional League. Albirex Niigata
is a professional football club based in Niigata, Japan. Formed in 1955 as Niigata Eleven SC, it was renamed Albireo Niigata FC in 1995, and Albirex Niigata in 1997. Omiya Ardija
is a professional association football club based in Ōmiya in Saitama, Japan. Its "hometown" as designated by the league is the whole of Saitama city, which is shared with neighbours Urawa Red Diamonds. Omiya competed in the J1 League following an immediate promotion in 2015 after being relegated in 2014. Omiya was relegated again following the 2017 season.
