Jerrell C. Jones (born March 28, 1986), better known by his stage name J-Kwon, is an American rapper best known for his 2004 single " Tipsy," which peaked at number two in 2004. Life and career At age 12, Jones was expelled from his home for allegedly dealing illegal drugs. He slept at his friends' homes and in cars. After winning one rap battle, he suffered a broken jaw. J-Kwon first rose to stardom with the single " Tipsy" from his 2004 album '' Hood Hop'', which peaked at number two on the ''Billboard'' 200 on April 17, 2004, after 14 weeks on the chart. A popular remix of the song features Chingy and Murphy Lee. The LP sold 125,000 copies in its first week of release. Critical reception Steve 'Flash' Juon of RapReviews commended J-Kwon for being earnest throughout the trope-filled track listing and making the most of his newfound success "for himself, his neighborhood and his family", but felt the album overall placed him in a position that won't guarantee long-term staying power in hip-hop. "Fresh Azimiz" (''"fresh as I'm is"'') is a single featured on rapper Bow Wow's 2005 album '' Wanted''. It is the third song after his singles "Let Me Hold You" with singer Omarion and " Like You" with Ciara. It features J-Kwon & Jermaine Dupri. The song was produced by Jermaine Dupri. The song became his third Top 40 single from his 2005 album ''Wanted'', peaking at number 23 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Although released through Columbia Records, the lyrics on the 2nd verse of the original song explains that Bow Wow still has close ties to So So Def Recordings ("Records say Columbia, but I'm So So man"). Rumored diss to Romeo Rumors circulated that the song was meant to attack rapper Lil' Romeo, with the line, "18 nigga, making more than your Dad." So So Def Recordings is an American record label based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, and owned by producer Jermaine Dupri, specializing in Southern hip hop, R&B and bass music. So So Def has managed artists such as Bow Wow, Kris Kross, TLC, and Usher. Beginnings So So Def was established in 1993 as a spin-off of Dupri's production company of the same moniker, through a joint venture with Sony and Columbia. Its first act was Xscape, whose debut album was released in the fall of the same year and went Platinum—as did their 2nd and 3rd albums, released in 1995 and 1998. Shad Gregory Moss (born March 9, 1987), better known by his stage name Bow Wow (formerly Lil' Bow Wow), is an American rapper and actor.
