J. Scott Campbell
Jeffery Scott Campbell (born April 12, 1973) is an American comic book artist. He was initially known professionally as Jeffery Scott, but is best known as J. Scott Campbell. He rose to fame as an artist for Wildstorm Comics, though he has since done work for Marvel Comics (most notably as a cover artist on ''The Amazing Spider-Man''), and the video game industry. Early life Jeffery Scott Campbell was born in East Tawas, Michigan, though he has no memories of that city, as his family moved when he was very young to Denver, Colorado, which he regards as his home. He has a younger sister, who is a digital architect who fills out the orders for Campbell's e-commerce website, and a younger brother who is a musician. As a child, Campbell was interested in cartoons, rather than comics. The New York Comic Con is an annual New York City fan convention dedicated to Western comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, cosplay, toys, movies, and television. It was first held in 2006. Brandon Choi
Brandon Choi is an American comic book writer best known as one of the co-creators of the series Gen¹³ which enjoyed high popularity in the middle and late 1990s. He also wrote several other titles for WildStorm. Choi was born in Seoul, Korea, and came to the U.S. when he was two years old. Choi formed a boyhood friendship with future comic book collaborator Jim Lee, and began creating comics together when they were both in the sixth grade. Their 1986 comic ''Wild Boys'' landed Lee his first job at Marvel Comics. Choi studied entertainment law after high school, but changed careers after graduation. While making plans to attend graduate school to study screenwriting, Lee contacted Choi with an offer to work at Homage Studios, which later became Wildstorm Productions. Choi co-created the ''WildC.A.T.s'' series with Lee in 1992, which included the character Grifter who was later incorporated into the DC Comics universe. Deathmate Black
''Deathmate'' was a six-part comic book crossover between Valiant Comics and Image Comics published in 1993 and 1994. Background Designated by color rather than issue numbers (namely Yellow, Blue, Black, and Red) plus two book-end issues, ''Deathmate Prologue'' and ''Deathmate Epilogue'', as well as Preview issues collected with comic products, the four main issues were written so they could be read in any order. Created at the peak of the comic book speculator boom, the project was heavily promoted and sold hundreds of thousands of copies, but was beset with production delays. The Image half (Black, Red, and Epilogue) came out severely behind schedule and out of sequence. Stormwatch (comics)
Stormwatch is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by WildStorm, which later became an imprint of DC Comics. Created by Jim Lee, the team first appeared in ''Stormwatch'' #1 (March 1993). Mariotte, Jeff
Jeff Mariotte (born 1955) is an author who lives in Arizona. As well as his own original work, he is best known for writing novels and comic books based on licensed properties. Biography Mariotte was born in Park Forest, Illinois, but he moved at age six because his father, who worked for the United States Department of Defense, was transferred to Paris, France. He graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Radio/TV/Film. DC Comics has published a number of other imprints and lines of comics over the years. Wildstorm Productions, (stylized as WildStorm), is an American comic book imprint. Originally founded as an independent company established by Jim Lee under the name "Aegis Entertainment" and expanded in subsequent years by other creators, Wildstorm became a publishing imprint of DC Comics in 1999. Until it was shut down in 2010, the Wildstorm imprint remained editorially separate from DC Comics, with its main studio located in California. The imprint took its name from the combining of the titles of the Jim Lee comic series '' WildC.A.T.S.'' and '' Stormwatch''.
