J. L. Lewis
John Lee Lewis (July 18, 1960 – December 31, 2019) was an American professional golfer. He won twice on the PGA Tour: the John Deere Classic in 1999, and the 84 Lumber Classic in 2003. In 1999 he won the Honda Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico. In 2010, Lewis earned a spot on the Champions Tour after placing well on the tour's Q School. Life and career Lewis was born and raised in Emporia, Kansas. His parents, John and Donna Lewis, taught in Emporia schools for thirty years. His athletic ability was evident from an early age: he played Little League Baseball from 1967 to 1973, and was a winning pitcher with multiple no-hitters. 84 Lumber Classic Of Pennsylvania
The Pennsylvania Classic was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour, held from 2000 through 2006 at three different Pennsylvania courses. The event's final title sponsor was lumber company 84 Lumber. The host course from 2003 to 2006 was Mystic Rock near Farmington, designed by Pete Dye and part of the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort, owned by 84 Lumber founder Joseph Hardy. Before the move to Mystic Rock, it was played outside Philadelphia in 2000 and 2002 at Waynesborough Country Club in Paoli, with the 2001 event at Laurel Valley Golf Club in Ligonier. The 2001 event was the first PGA Tour tournament staged after the September 11, 2001 attacks; that year's venue, Laurel Valley, was about west of Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where United Airlines Flight 93 went down. Mike Brisky
Michael Charles Brisky (born May 28, 1965) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Nationwide Tour. Brisky attended Pan American University (now called the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley) where he was a standout member of the men's golf team from 1982 through 1986. He was inducted into the university's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2012. Brisky joined the PGA Tour in 1994, earning his Tour card through qualifying school. He didn't play well enough to retain his Tour card but earned his card for the following year through qualifying school. He also played on the Nationwide Tour that year and won the Nike Texarkana Open. He did a lot better on the PGA Tour in 1995 and finished 92nd on the money list. Multiple Myeloma
Multiple myeloma (MM), also known as plasma cell myeloma and simply myeloma, is a cancer of plasma cells, a type of white blood cell that normally produces antibodies. Often, no symptoms are noticed initially. As it progresses, bone pain, anemia, kidney dysfunction, and infections may occur. Complications may include amyloidosis. The cause of multiple myeloma is unknown. Risk factors include obesity, radiation exposure, family history, and certain chemicals. There is an increased risk of multiple myeloma in certain occupations. This is due to the occupational exposure to aromatic hydrocarbon solvents having a role in causation of multiple myeloma. Verizon Heritage
The RBC Heritage, known for much of its history as the Heritage Classic or simply the Heritage, is a PGA Tour event in South Carolina, first played in 1969. It is currently played in mid-April, the week after The Masters in Augusta, Georgia. The venue for its entire existence has been the Harbour Town Golf Links at the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island. The Harbour Town course, which frequently appears on several "Best Courses" lists, was designed by famed golf course architect Pete Dye, with assistance from Jack Nicklaus. The Cadence Bank Houston Open is a professional golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, played in November. As a part of a restructuring of the schedule, the event moved to the fall in 2019. Because the tour year starts the previous fall, the event was not a part of the 2019 PGA Tour, but was one of the first events of the 2020 PGA Tour.
