J. H. Williams III
James H. Williams III (born 1965), usually credited as J. H. Williams III, is an American comics artist and penciller. He is known for his work on titles such as ''Chase (comics), Chase'', ''Promethea'', ''Desolation Jones,'' ''Batwoman'', and ''The Sandman: Overture''. Career Williams' early work includes penciling the four-issue miniseries, ''Hardware (comics)#Supporting characters, Deathwish'' (1994–1995) from Milestone Media. ''Deathwish'' was written by Maddie Blaustein and inked by Jimmy Palmiotti. He was one of the artists on the ''Shade (comics), Shade'' limited series which spun off from the ''Starman (Jack Knight), Starman'' series. Williams gained prominence as the artist on the short-lived (ten issues, 1997–1998) ''Chase (comics), Chase'' title from DC Comics, where he worked with writer Dan Curtis Johnson. Penciller
A penciller (or penciler) is an artist who works on the creation of comic books, graphic novels, and similar visual art forms, with a focus on the initial pencil illustrations, usually in collaboration with other artists, who provide inks, colors and lettering in the book, under the supervision of an editor. In the American comic book industry, the penciller is the first step in rendering the story in visual form, and may require several steps of feedback with the writer. Jimmy Palmiotti
James Palmiotti (born August 14, 1961) is an American writer and inker of comic books, who also does writing for games, television and film. Early life Palmiotti attended the High School of Art and Design in New York City. Career Palmiotti started at Marvel Comics in 1991. He inked titles such as the ''Punisher'', ''Ghost Rider'', '' The Nam'' and the Marvel 2099 line, and has accumulated extensive inking and writing credits. He often inked the work of his friend and collaborator Joe Quesada. Together, they created ''Ash'' and ''Painkiller Jane''. For Marvel, Palmiotti worked on the established '' Daredevil'', a run especially known for the "Guardian Devil" arc scripted by Kevin Smith. David Tischman
David Tischman is an American comic book writer who has been active since 2000, writing for such series as ''American Century'', ''Cable'', '' Bite Club'', and ''Star Trek'', as well as the web comic ''Heroine Chic''. Biography Tischman wrote ''Greatest Hits'' at Vertigo. Howard Victor Chaykin (; born October 7, 1950) is an American comic book artist and writer. Chaykin's influences include his one-time employer and mentor, Gil Kane, and the mid-20th century illustrators Robert Fawcett and Al Parker. Early life Howard Chaykin was born in Newark, New Jersey, to Rosalind Pave and Norman Drucker, who soon separated. Chaykin was initially raised by his grandparents in Staten Island, New York City, until his mother married Leon Chaykin in 1953 and the family moved to East Flatbush and later to 370 Saratoga Avenue, Brownsville, Brooklyn. Chuck Dixon
Charles Dixon (born April 14, 1954) is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on the Marvel Comics character the Punisher and on the DC Comics characters Batman, Nightwing, and Robin in the 1990s and early 2000s. Early life Dixon was born in West Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Upper Darby, reading comics of all genres. He is a graduate of Upper Darby High School (1972). ''Justice Riders'' is a 1997 Elseworlds prestige format one-shot, from DC Comics, written by Chuck Dixon, with art by J.H. Williams III. The story involves the Justice League of America recast in assorted roles in the Wild West. Galerie Lambiek is a Dutch comic book store and art gallery in Amsterdam, founded on November 8, 1968 by Kees Kousemaker (, – Bussum, ), though since 2007, his son Boris Kousemaker is the current owner.
